hi ladies ... i had laparoscopy + dye, treatment to endometriosis + hysteroscopy on friday and was just wondering if anyone has had anything same or similar and how soon you went bk trying ?? i didnt see our doc after the op only b4 n forgot to ask :dohh:

am still feeling abit sore but really positive about getting going again :happydance: am thinking if it was a big no no to start bdin so soon they would have said or something would had been in leaflets but just wondered how soon people who have been in similar situation got bk to trying

iam due to ov earliest this friday so hoping to feel alot less sore in next few days and iam longer bleeding so do you think it would be ok or do you think a week is not enough healing time ??

thank you for reading :flower:

Hey, we waited just a week. My doc said as soon as I felt ready, would be fine! Like you I was approaching ov and there was no way I wanted to miss the 'opportunity' !! Xxx wishing you a speedy recovery xx

Cor blimey, you're hard core! I was really sore after each of my laparoscopies and it took me a good ten days at least to feel ready to dtd. Go you!

As for 'being allowed to', did they not give you the low-down of what they found/did after the op? If not, then maybe call your consultant's secretary and ask for advice. I'm sure they will understand your situation.

Wow, I couldn't move for at least two weeks, as my tummy was so swollen still. We were told we could try until I'd had at least one AF. I am now the third month after my op and we are trying IUI.

Fingers crossed for you!

thank you ladies .... am not fully up and about and still very bloated but i just dont want to miss this opportunity of everything been cleared and hopefully beating my eggys at this long game of hide n seek lol as i seem to be now having some good creamy cm which seems little early but i hope its ov gearing up :)

petitpas - i didnt see the doc after only before am only going with what they wrote on my letter to doc as to what they did .... but they did say i would be getting a appointment to see him in 8 weeks time which at first seemed a long wait but then i realised it gives me time to loose more weight and hopefully get to the target hossy weight of bmi 29 or below for if they need to do anything more as we did find out DH SA results are not good but again not seen him to discuss i did try at hossy but because DH wasnt there we have to wait until we see him in clinic

I think it depends on how you feel. I had mine done after ovulation and was bleeding for a week then AF arrived two weeks later than planned so I have just started BD'ing after that! I had a lot done though and although I wasn't in pain at all but I didn't feel sexy and libido was none existence! My doc though told me that I can bd 5 days after the op!!!!!!!!

Whenever you are ready is the right answer ! I was ovulating a couple of days after so even resorted to squirting it in with a syringe as i couldn't really do it! Yes i know..., i'm looopy!!!!

hi. i had lapvl dye and hysterscopy 3 weeks ago. op went well and my tubes are clear. she told me to start trying as soon as i felt ready so a week later we did. im due on in about 10 days so we shall see if im pregnant. im not keeping track of ovulation etc im just hoping it will happen. i think planning to much causes soo much stress when the result is nehative. im due to see the doc in 3 months and she is quite positive i will be pregnant by then. i was also told the lap gives u a 40-60% increase in getting pregnant so fingers crossed. good luck x
