Laporoscopy??

Im taking my dressings off tomorrow and am expecting to see a bit of brusing round my belly button too - its really sore - dh just brushed his hand over my belly in bed last night and I nearly screamed the house down and thats after taking cuprofen avery 4 hrs since i got home too!!!!

I'm seeing my consultant next tuesday (AF is due around then too) so will ask her then whether I'll still ovulate as normal next cycle.

I had a bit of bruising and my stitches still haven't dissolved 9 days later so am having them taken out on Monday. You do feel better honest - moving is a bit of a problem for the first 48 hours, but then it is easier a little bit each day. Tip - if you have to drive on Friday, put a cushion in between tummy and seat belt - it stops putting pressure on the stitches!

Unfortunately I don't have a car so have to walk - managed to slowly wander up to collect the monster with my mum this afternoon and was fine until he was holding my hand to cross the road and tried to walk faster than I could - being dragged along by a 4 year old really isn't a great look!

lots of fab reviews on this..
Hi muncho
sorry i am so late in replying- i missed this one!
yes thats the clinic and i hae to say their correspondence by e-mail is great yes that is the price for everything-except drugs and may be tests but they said they were happy to provide me with a list of bloods required to get them done on NHs no probs they also have a deal with a local hotel-raddison- which is 80 pound a day for bed brekkie and evening meal and they want you to stay for 10 days while you get scanned and ec etc but I have to say I was impressed with everything
london did look good but very expensive-one forum i read that the final bill ended up £9,000 for one cycle plus i will have to fly back and forward ouch.
sorry I took so long-check out the comments bout norway on fertility friends from people wh have been. My only concern is if you take ill during procedure will travel insurance or NHS cover the cost if it is elective surgery? Anyone know the answer to that?

hi....ive just been told that i may have endrometriosis.....went to doc about bad lower back pain and thick dark brown discharge i keep getting b4 af arrives and my periods seem to be getting more painful each mth.....she said to ask my fs about having a lap and dye done!! ive had a hycosy...wouldnt that show it if i had it?? ive had lots of scans done too??? currently on clomid & wondering if its worth taking if there is something else wrong with me!! xx

Hi
go for the lap-its not that bad and will put you mind at rest plus they can treat endo while they are in there x

Hi you really need to have the lap as they will be able to remove most of it during the procedure. Dont worry coz u can still concieve, infact your chances will be better
i had one a few weeks ago but unfortunatley they told me one of my tubes is twisted and not good, but at least i know so im not wasting time in ttc...

any q's ask away x

Hi
no worries about the late response....im really in 2 minds , my friend went to the lister and she raves about it but to be honest the birth rates are similar for lister and norway but ots half the cost.Dont know about the insurance, i doubt it would cover it..will have to check it

have u decided where u are going?

Not yet - hopefully at the weekend OH is still fixated on London the CRGH or lister but I am not sure he looks purely at stats and I know thats right but i want to feel comfortable there as well. Final decision is this weekend. I know Crypto was looking at Norway as well and the opinions on fertility friends really impressed me. I will keep you posted xx

we are both lookign at the same ones!! Oh has come round to norway now. im just waiting for my AMH results then ill contact Norway again . the Cons there has been brill. the stats fo far for my age group are the same in london and Norway!

let me know your decisionxx

will do -just checking out the whole insurance thing-don't think NHS will cover if something goes wrong and I just spoke to an insurance advisor who said a standard travel insurance won't cover either and neither will my private health insurance so she is quoting me for additional cover-will let you know how much etc
I also e-mailled the clinic to ask who will cover if anything goes wrong and will it cost more!
If you hear anything more bout Norway let me know -- my oh is obsessed with London being the best-we will need to travel where ever but he is convinced that if I get on a flight my eggie will drop out lol

managed to get my fs appointment bought 4ward to the 7th dec :) didnt wanna wait til 21st dec, just b4 xmas!!! im hoping she will agree to refer me to have the lap & dye done....i know its different in every hosp but how long have you had to wait from being referred to getting the lap & dye done?? i just looked at my local private hosp as dh said if there is a huge waiting list we will pay & go private 4 the procedure...but to my horror the lap & dye would be £3000!!! im gutted!!! i just hope that the waiting list through my fs wont be too bad...feeling really down.....been thru so much this year, wrongly diagnosed with pelvic inflammatory disease, then diagnosed with polycysts on only ovary, then had cervix erosion testing, then had hycosy, , then prescribed clomid & follicular tracking done so more horrible hop appointments!! & now possible endrometriosis!!! just feel like our ttc journey is never going to end happily :( 16 mths of ttc is bad enough without all these things happening too :( xx

I saw my consultant back in July/August and she booked me in for my lap & dye there and then and I've just had it done last week so I only had to wait a couple of months which isn't really that bad I don't think.
I'd also been to she her back at the end of April and had been booked in for the lap & dye for June but then found out in march I was preg so cancelled it only to then miscarry at 5 weeks.
So I would say the norm for here would be a 2-3 month wait.
We've been ttc for 2 years now and up until tuesday it was looking like we were both perfectly healthy fertility wise and they were stupped as to why we weren't conceiving but at least now we know why!!
Dancingkaty1 if theres anything you want to know about the lap & dye or if you just want someone to talk to about anything then you can always drop me a message xXx
:hugs:

dancing..thats a hell of alot, are you sure thats correct, even at a fertiltiy clinic in london a lap is £500! No idea about the wait time, it will be miniumum of 6 weeks though

glitter..i kow what u mean about the egg thing, i did think whether flying would be a good idea but lots of people have done it and it works...
be interesting to see how much the insurance wil be. Ill let you know when i hear from Norway..

dancing i agree with muncho that price seems high - i onlt waited3 months for my lap from being referred its best if you can to agree a date with your consultant at the appointment and also let them know you would take any cancellation as well good luck and don't worry about it its really not that bad xx

wils mum, did they tell u the results of ur lap and dye straight away? i have to wait six weeks before i find out. I think we will still ttc this month, hope the dye has done some clearing out!! :)

Hiya yes my fs who did the op came round after she'd finished her morning surgery and told us basically what she had found - i have an appointment to see her on tuesday to go through it more thoroughly, see the pictures of my insides and discuss where we go from here.

hiya all
just to let you knw i have my 1st af since the lap. its come 6 days early but dont know if thats coz i have also started taking pregancare
im not using tampons this cycle as they said it could cause an infection but so far have not noticed any difference in the blood etc (TMI) but its stil the 1st day
i dont mind as it means ov will come earlier than expected :)

wills mum, i have an appointment for the 6th but not with my consultant, they are seding me to the EPAU unit, ever heard of it??

As far as I'm aware EPAU stands for Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit!
The hospital here runs their early pregnancy clinic in the mornings and the fertility clinic in the afternoons in womens outpatients.

When my FS provisionally put me in her diary for the lap she also told me to make another appointment to see her for the week after the lap.
