last night I had my 1st Smiley Face!! But it was gone this morning??

I've been using internet cheapies 3 times a day, and bought CBDT to confirm as last mth I struggled to tell if a line was dark enough to be a positive.

Well, I did a cheapy yesterday morning and it was dark. Dipped the CB in the same cup-o-P and had a O.

Did 1 in the afternoon about 4ish. Looked the same as the morning so didn't bother with the Digi.

Did another @ 9.30 in the evening and the line was really pale, but so was the control line. I did a digi just coz I like to... And I had a Big Fat !!!

Rushed down stairs and got BD'in straight away

Tested this morning and I was back to a O

I read that anything after your 1st positive doesn't matter but I still can't help being concerned... I've had my EWCM, not as mush as previous mths but its there and now I'm waiting for my temp rise! I'm on day 14 of a (usually, but subject to change) 27 day cycle. I have a 12day luteal phase.

Should I be concerned that my has become a O?

hiya from wot i understand about ovulation is that it can come reali quickly so most ppl will only catch the end or begining of it happening as it can be ova so quick so wouldnt be worried about it going by the nxt day coz it normally is x

Nope, you shouldn't be concerned at all! That has happened to me. I usually ovulate when the smiley goes back to no smiley. I would have for the next couple of days because you can ovulate up to 48 hours after having a smiley.

I ovulate LESS than 12 hours after I get my smiley!!! Sometimes, it's as soon as 6 hours. That's what I honestly love about those CB digi's is that they are less sensitive and only pick up my surge when I'm actually surging!! Good Luck!

Thanks girls! My CM seemed to have dried up loads yesterday. I wondered if it was becoz I'm hardly drinkin to keep my pee concentrated? Haha. But I've BD'd on and had a slight Temp rise this morning! I have to temp early (@ 5.30am) coz OH is a Postie so my temps have been low this mth, highest has been 36.17. I now have a 36.28 so I'm hopin they'll keep going up from here ( and stay up!!!!!! ) Lol.

OPKs detect the LH surge - the surge can last a matter of hours and is easy to miss if it happens between using the OPKs. The surge is more likely to show in afternoon/evening pee as it starts being produced early hours of the morning but takes a while to build up enough to be extracted through urine.

The LH surge is simply a trigger to tell your ovary to release an egg, this usually happens between 12-36 hours after the surge, so once you've got a positive test, get BDing!! Ovulation can only be determined by the thermal shift (rise in temps) caused by the production of progesterone from the corpus luteum - this is what's left behind on the ovary after the egg has been released.
