Let's see your trees then!

Got the girls one to put up tonight in their room. They picked it all themselves so warning in advance :xmas8:

Fab trees!!

I made a stand out of a light shade, brown paper and ribbon to make it look like a sack as I'm a cheapskate :haha: needs pulling down.
Need to take pic of DD2's tree and put DD1's up.

That's beautiful!! You're so arty. A MUCH more elegant solution than my random fabric haha

Haha, thank you. It was a ball ache to make as it's only a cheap shade, it kept caving from weight. Just improvise with what you have :)

I wanted a new (bigger) tree but OH said no :( plus we're in a smaller house. Wish I flocked it so it looked a little like jay92's and all rustic-y.

Love my sisters tree - not fond of her choice of butterflies mind but she got them because they sparkled :haha:

Wooow! Both yours and your sisters trees look like professional window dressers did them!
The lampshade was a wicked idea.

Tal hun I sat and done it last night . Totally regretted it lol! I have loads of special baubles that I was gonna put on but today and went and bought the girls a 6ft white tree for their room and they can put special baubles on there's lol. So happy with it this year:happydance: thank you

Smartie the flocking is a nightmare  I have darkish hardwood floor which now looks like it has dandruff. Love it but in hindsight :haha:...I will spend this month sweeping over and over again xx

We got a new tree this yr, brought it from the shopping network. Call me mad but its a 6.5 ft and we live in an RV :haha:
will try get a night time pic soon!!

Lovely!
I went and got a 7ft this year. Now I’m scared it’s going to be too tall and touch the ceiling. They are quite low! Is it acceptable to just chop off some of the top if it’s too tall lol?

My approach to tree decorating is chuck it on. I don't decorate the back, the thing is so big.

Ours is 7ft, I was more suprised how much it sticks out :haha:

Ah that looks great! I also use the chuck it on method haha. And I don't do the back, find it pointless! Growing up we had ours in front of a window too and my mum always made me put the nicest decorations at the back so passers by could see them .... which they couldn't even, through the nets! I used to try and sneak them back round to the front so we could actually enjoy them haha.
