light pink spotting followed by...

Hi so my period was due yesterday. I spotted just one time a very light pink, only noticed it on the tp. Nothing the rest of the day (Saturday) Sunday and Monday I've had brown discharge, a spot here or there on my underwear but mainly only noticeable on tp. Today however there seems to be A LOT more of it. I did take a test Sunday and it was neg. Could have been too early? Thoughts? Ideas? Input? I never had spotting with my first son so this is new to me!!

well...I got my period today and its super heavy with a bunch of clots which is very uncommon for me usually my periods are light and last 2-3 days.
