Lightweight Car Seat

Hi,
we are parents to be and we are 2 months due. We are looking for lightweight car seat, yet safe. I see parents struggling carrying car seat and getting tired carrying it around... If you know of any car seat from Babies R Us, Walmart, Amazon, Target, please share...

the best option would be not to carry the baby about in the car seat, i only ever used my seat in the car

I imagine for health and safety reasons they have to be a certain weight- mine have all been similar. Its not the car seat that weighs heavy its the baby in it! x

See the reason why I need lightweight car seat is that car seats are usually covered and since we don't have garage or shelter and there's a ling walk way from where we patk our car to house, its better to bring baby home in the car seat, rather than just carrying te baby in such weather or putting in the stroller...
