Like Connie but not Constance?

My OH and I were watching a program yesterday with a character Connie and both liked the name (rare for us to agree!) But we like full names on birth certificates and neither of us are a fan of Constance. Is there another name Connie can be short for? Or does it work on its own?

I think you can definitely use it independently - there are a lot of 'nick names' that have become the actual name over the years (Eg Ted, Billy).

The only other 'full' names I can think of for Connie are Conifer and Constanza.

I think it's fine on its own but then I'm a little biased as lo is a Connie, not short for anything just Connie on its own

My mums Constance but only ever goes by Connie- she hates her full name. I think it's fine to use on its own x
