haha, Shiv- I searched for a beer bottle opener with a butterfly on it and I don't think there's such a thing! We have a nice Amish market nearby, so I might cave and get some slightly non-butterfly related things like organic honey to give as prizes too.

I went to the party store and found plates and napkins I loved so I decided to go with a pink/brown/green theme!

As well as Kira's butterfly wings She loves pretending to be a butterfly and likes the idea of wearing her wings.

Kira is so cute in her wings!! Emma has fairy wings that my mom sent for her dress up stuff and she loves them too. They are so cute at this age!

I love the pink/brown/green theme. Have you decided how you are going to decorate the cupcakes yet? I think you should make wings out of fondant and stick them out of the tops of the cupcakes so it's a 3D butterfly.

Hello ladies!

Ive not been on here for forever but i thought id say Hi.....Its only 6 wks till Kiera is 2yrs old and it was thinking about that that made me log on. Its great to see all the party planning is well underway.. Im liking your butterfly theme spidey, Kira is sure to love it! Cleck your banner is looking great! Im not sure what we are doing for Kiera's birthday this year probably just the same as last year just have close family round for a wee tea some cake and party games for the kids. Its getting harder to think of gifts to get to get them isnt it?! So im still thinking that one through. Its nice to see this group is still going Hope everyone's cubs have great birthdays when they come Hugs xxxxxx

Cleckner, I copped out and bought some pre-made butterflies made from gum paste. We have a little cake shop nearby and they make and sell a bunch of different decorations like that. But after seeing all the cake decorating stuff while shopping for Kira's party, I really want to try cake decorating. I might look into taking a class- I know they have them at the craft store near my house So the cupcakes will look like sunflowers. I have cute cupcake wrappers that look like flower petals and my cupcake will have chocolate icing (like the inside of a sunflower). Then I will stick gum paste butterflies on top! Are you going to do those cool multi color cupcakes again this year?

Hi Andie! If you think of a good gift for Kiera, make sure you tell us! I was going to buy a work bench for Kira but now I'm not so certain since we're getting tight on space. A doll house would be great too, but the ones I like are HUGE!

Yeah the doll houses I've seen that I like are huge too. Mostly because I want them to be able to accommodate barbies.

I do still plan on doing the multicolored cupcakes. I'm going to use oreos to make minnie mouse ears and probably going to try to make fondant bows but not going to make a face or anything on each. I'm not sure how I"ll decorate the big cupcake though. Probably just multicolored frosting with a 2 sticking out or something. I really need to get back to planning but I've been so busy packing the house up that I haven't been focusing on her birthday anymore. DH still has to put her tricycle together.

I found a doll house I liked yesterday at the toystore and came home and ordered it off amazon! (I needed to read the reviews first )

If Kira likes it, then I can buy her a second larger house later and slowly buy all the furniture sets. It's not really meant for little kids, but Kira is very gentle with her toys and likes small pieces so I think it'll be okay. I kind of like the idea of animal families vs. real doll families

So for her birthday she's getting a handmade wooden tool set and this little doll house
