little advice plz

i am currently thinking about changing jobs the problem is if i do i dont know if i will be entitled to any form of maternity pay when its time for that??

i currently only work 12 hrs a week and get £77 for that if that helps

what i need your help with is working out what i would get my partner earns 30000 a year

Hey hun, I looked on direct Gov website for you and it seems it relates more to how much you earn rather than hours you work. https://tiger.direct.gov.uk/cgi-bin/maternity.cgi? is the link, for some reason they havent got 2010 due dates on there yet, but If you choose 2009 it gives you the right info just add on a year to any dates they give you. Does that make sense?

If you change jobs, you will probably be able to claim MA (maternity allowance) from the government if you are already pregnant. You probably won't have worked at your new job long enough to claim SMP from them.
MA is £123 for 39 weeks
