LO just started solids at 6 months. We started with BLW, but ended up trying purees as well, because he was spitting out everything he put in and I wanted to try different things to find out what works best for my LO.

Anyway, he hadn't really taken to purees at first, but tonight, we loaded up the spoon and gave it to him and he fed himself by sucking the spoon. He was happy to do this multiple times in a row and I was one happy mama, because was finally eating without spitting it out afterwards!

One thing I found strange though, was he would shiver/tremble each time he got a spoonful. I don't know if he was excited or cold or what, but he did it every single time the food came. Is this normal? It seemed weird to me and he has never done it before!

What purée was it? If it's a stronger flavour then it's probably shock lol! Elodie does it with strawberries, she did it with natural yoghurt yesterday too I couldn't help but laugh :haha: you could tell she was hating it but her mouth kept opening!

I remember the faces my ds1 would make lol!

Maybe it was just a new taste and he is excited? I wouldn't be worried. Just take lots of pictures :)

Emilie does exactly the same thing whenever she encounters a new flavor or something she doesn't expect to be there!! I just can't help but chuckle at her doing it!

Hahaha. My DS2 did this, too, when he first started weaning. It was so funny. I have no idea what caused it, but he wasn't in pain and was perfectly healthy, so we left it alone. He stopped doing it after a while.

Haha thanks. Guess it is likely a normal, temporary thing then!
