Hey ladies,

We are TTC #2 but my cycles range from 33-63days long. We have been trying for the last 5months and end up heartbroken every cycle. I decided to start temping again last cycle and I ov'd CD30 something but only had an LP of 12days and spotting from 9dpo.

So now not only do we have the issue of a long cycle but possibly a short LP too! I have ALL the symptoms of PCOS but bloods where normal so just waiting on an internal scan apt to confirm where I do indeed have PCOS or not.

In the meantime I need some help with trying to regulate my cycles but I'm reading so much conflicting stuff on two vits I particular. Vitamin b and agnus castus.

Can anyone share their experiences with either these or any other methods of shortening cycles whilst increasing LP?

I'm really needing help now, trying so hard to stay positive but it's proving difficult so I am taking charge and getting my cycles back on track! Or trying to anyway!

Help me ladies!!!

That sounds very similar to me! My last 7 cycles have been anywhere from 18-66 days! 3 of them in the 60's. I haven't been temping all of those, so I don't know if/when I ovulated in them. This cycle is killing me, I'm on cd 45 and according to ff I ovulated on cd 22, making me 23 dpo today with high temps and still negative tests. I have many pcos symptoms, but have never been diagnosed so I don't know if that is messing up my temps and I really didn't ovulate?! I haven't tried any of those vitamins, but I'm interested in what you find out. Good luck to you!

Thanks hunni, so nice to know I'm not the only one! Wow 23dpo high temps and neg tests! Have you been to you gp? Maybe if you take your chart they will do bloods or investigate for PCOS. My investigations are due to my stupid cycles rather than TTC ATM but they know we are trying.

I was looking up AC last night and i think I'm gonna give it a try, take it twice daily upto ov then stop and hope for the best!

Where a outs are you?

I know the feeling. DH and I have been TTC for 2 years and I've only had 5 cycles. I'm on day 120-something now. Blood test and ultrasound came back perfect, now just waiting for my specialist appointment in December.

Believe me, if I knew any way to regulate your cycles I would share. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work.

I know the disappointment hurts but try to keep your head up. DH always tells me that it takes a lot of time to create the perfect child.

Bless ya hunni!

Have you tried AC? Do you temp etc or just go with it?

Your DH is right! And they are very worth it when we finally meet them! I think that's what makes it harder, I know what you get at the end of it and it makes me want it so bad.

I'm being positive now though, I need to be fot my own sanity!! Lol

Laura is AC supposed to lengthen lp or help you ovulate sonner?
I haven't been to dr yet, gonna give it another week or so, maybe. I'm in Missouri. How about you?

Hello. :flower: A friend of mine had a really long cycles due to PCOS and she tried Vitex, she said it did help regulate her cycles (she got pregnant after 2 cycles) so I tried it thinking it would help (I do not have irregular cycles) and all it did for me was give me loose stools. :(

The AC encourages ovulation so you take it from cd to when you ovulate then stop as it can cause damage to beanies, im in UK hun :)

little that sucks! This is what I mean about different things, I think its like everything though works for some and not others!

Vitex is the same as AC :)

Oh and our journals almost have the same name!!

Oh my gosh! That is so cute! :) Hehe. Yeah I hear you on that. Everyone is different. :D I think through our year and a half of trying I have been trying all kinds of stuff from vitex, to preseed, hsgs, a lap, and now I just started taking Soy.

I bet you have hun, how you finding the soy? What is it supposed to do?

In one way I want my scan to confirm pcos and my doc to agree to give me clomid straight away, I know that's bad but it would make things so much easier! Lol

But life isn't easy. And sometimes we have to sick it up and get on with it. This is my attitude atm, it may change tomorrow though! :haha:

I haven't been able to try anything. My doctor isn't comfortable prescribing me anything so I have to wait until I see the specialist in December.

I tried temping but my cycles are so all over the place, I can't find a pattern. There's been nothing that jumped out at me as the tell tale temp spike either.

Makes sense Hun, a lot of FS's like you to be completely au natural for a couple months before apts to make sure what they are seeing is the real thing!

Sounds like it could be Clovis for you though Hun! I hope whatever they decide it works quickly!

I also hope you'll stay here to keep us posted on how you're doing! Likewise with you other ladies? :)

Yeah, he told me I shouldn't even take my multivitamin

I'll definitely stay, and I hope the other ladies do too. Someone with a long cycle getting a BPF would definitely give me a lot of hope.

my cousin doesnt have pcos or cysts but has high levels of prolactin and has the same issue with you no period at all i think she has 3-4 times per year and that after taking some pills anyway she had to take an x-ray and the doctor there asked her if she was pregnant she said "no way since i have no ovulation" but then asked her again if she had unprotected sex she said yes so the doctor didnt want to take the responsibility in case she was 1 in a billion pregnant so she forced her to take a test and ...she was pregnant!2 months!her endocrinologist could not believe that!SHE WAS SHOCKED
she actually told her "if you had called me to ask me before the xray i would give you the ok to go ahead and do it, thank god the doctor there was so scared to do it!there was no way with that number of prolactin for pregnancy..."so miracles do happen!

It certainly would Dottie! I think its nice to be around people who have a slimmer chance than the average woman TTC, that might sound odd but its like they know what you're going through and with them going through the same, the exact same, its easier for them to understand how things are. Not saying others who have struggle to conceive for various reasons don't know what its like but its different for every situation and when they're the same or very similar its def easier. Hope that makes sense! Lol

Wow jenny that's awesome!

I so hope someone here gets some really good news soon! Xx

I agree! When we have such long cycles we have so many fewer chances to try. It's so disheartening! Out of those long cycles most of the time we don't ovulate ugh!

Afm-I'm still waiting...temps still pretty high above coverline. I haven't tested for a few days, I'm trying to hold out until Monday. Too scared to see another bfn!

I have long irregular periods too last cycle was 42days so I'm hoping this cycle will be shorter. I've always had irregular periods and as you can see we have 4 children! So it does happen and will happen! With my 1st I came off bcp it took 2 months with no period and I fell pregnant.
Iam taking EPO this time tho as I don't get a lot of cm so in hoping il have increased cm so I can tell when I ov I'm doing opks too
Good luck ladies hope I've given you a little hope xxxx

Oh my, that's such an amazing story! Thank god she found out! My doctor said the chances of getting pregnant after a cycle gets to a certain length is almost impossible, so I haven't tested in over a month. My nipples and boobs have been SO sore for the last few days and I thought it just meant AF is coming. If they stay sore for a few more days and AF isn't here, I'll take a test just to be sure.

Did you have long cycles with James Hun? And did you get your BFP early or late? Could be a slow riser!

Hi ricschick! Thanks for that Hun, although I know I can conceive on a long cycle (ovd at cd44 with my son) I'd like an average length one! Lol also I had no external cm with Oscar and conceived fine, but I do actually have cm now!

Dottie I think that's a good idea, maybe test once a month :)

Afm - AF has pretty much gone so the temping has began! Off to get AC and vit b today, I guess you can take them together?! I'll ask in the shop :) hoping the AC will encourage ov and vit b lengthen my LP! Even if it take a couple cycles to make a difference I'm determined to make this happen!
