Longer Menstruation

Hi Ladies,

I've just been looking back over my cycle history and I have noticed that AF is starting to be longer, I used to bleed for 4 days, now its starting to be about 6-7 days.

I've got it in my head this is a bad thing, like early menopause (i'm 32 next month), has anyone got any idea what could be happening??

Am I worrying about nothing? (I do have that tendancy!!)

I wouldn't worry too much. It's normal for our cycles to change a bit with time. Honestly, I'm older than you, by a long shot, and my flow has started to shorten, used to be 6-8 days now 5-6 days.

I've read that menopause is usually more about longer/shorter time between periods than the length of the flow. Sometimes the amount of flow will increase and be really heavy as well.

I'd not worry too much about it at your age unless their are other signs that something is amiss.
