Hi Ladies,

Im looking for some advice, ive popped over from the TTc forum and looking for some advice. Me & the OH have been TTc for just over a year, and feel we're getting nowhere. weve both had test he's had a SA & ive had 21 day test. my cycle has swutched from 28 days to 31 days in the last 3 cycles. are there any other tests i can ask for? theyve told us to try for another 6 months taking us over a year & a half :nope:

im just in limbo my results came back on the 21 day test as ovulation was at a level of 30, and OH results came back almost perfect. we're just feeling a little lost & the GP is not much help.

I know how you feel hun :hugs:
My 14th month is about to come to an end and still no luck. We alse had our tests when we hit the 1 year mark. Everything came out fine, doctor prescribed clomid to increase the qaulity of my eggs but it overstimulated my ovaries and I had my first ever anovulatory cycle with clomid. Now we're taking 1 month off clomid and in june we'll have IUI which will be our 16th cycle. Doctors generally prefer the natural way that's why they don't suggest IUI straight away when you hit the 1 year mark.
All I can say is try to keep positive, and do the things you won't be able to do when you're pregnant. The thing I'm saying to myself is maybe it'll take some more time to get my BFP but with assisted conception there is a chance of having twins which would be great! :hugs:

You should ask to be sent to a fertility specialist where they will run other tests such as an HSG to make sure that your tubes are not blocked. Some clinics also do a post-coital test to see how the sperm are doing after intercourse.

After our year mark we also got sent for a WHOLE whack of blood work - 17 vials to be specific! Where they screen for everything under the sun for both you and your partner.

After everything came back normal we did one month of cycle monitoring with clomid and timed intercourse. When that didn't work we have now done two cycles with clomid and IUI .... we are now onto the stronger drugs if this month wasn't successful.

My best advice would be to move beyond your GP to either an OBGYN, an RE or a fertility clinic - all depends on your area and what they are called.

Thanks for the info gals! DH and I will probably be going to a specialist as soon as he gets back from his deployment (before is at almost a year, and we don't want to get a specialist if we can't use him for 4 months, ya know?)...Babyboo, how's it going?
