Hi Ladies,

I know this is probably a strange post but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

I'm 9 weeks 4 days pregnant with my first. I had 3 back-to-back losses immediately before this pregnancy (2 chem, 1 BO).

I've had weekly scans which have all been fine with normal heatbeats and measurements, the last one was at 9 weeks 1 day.

My next scan/appt is 10 weeks 4 days when I'll also be doing the MaterniT21.

I'm hoping for some reassurance that after a good scan at 9 weeks it's ok to relax a little. Even though my doctor said once I reached 9 weeks chances of miscarriage are significantly reduced, I don't believe him. I'm so scared every single day. I worry that at each upcoming scan we will see that the baby's heartbeat stopped.

I've been reading too many posts about women that had MMCs after 9 weeks and before 12. I'm desperate for some good stories.

Today my boobs didn't hurt whenI woke up and I'm convinced it's a bad sign. :-(

Hi there,
I don't have a success story for you quite yet (see ticker) but I just thought that I would let you know that after you see a normal heartbeat at 9 weeks the chances of m/c are %0.5. That's incredibly low!! Hope this helps!

Thank you, that does help a lot. Fingers crossed I'm one of the 95%.

I dont think it ever gets easier you just have to stay positive i myself have had 3 losses 2 early and 1 late, im 14 weeks now and still petrified and i suppose take comfort that the statistics on our side xx

Hi I am currently 36+4 after 3 consecutive losses. Know how you feel. If I can just get to this scan it will be fine but you feel exactly the same after that one. I had quite a dramatic time of it too. Spotting and bleeding all the way through first trimester. Massive bleed the day of the dating scan, the little tinker isbstill here and she is gonna be a big little thing too. Nice and healthy. My boobs would stop hurting on and off. Also would get cramps and I would panic because I didn't know the difference between mc cramps and just stretching. I got back aches too with all of them. I had to reply because I would go looking for positive stories and all I could find were horror stories. I understand that it does happen but any little thing you would read someone would write oh my friend had twinges and she lost it. It is so hard to go from waiting for the mc to happen to relaxing and knowing you're going to have a little baby. Xx

You're almost there!!! Not long now....
I know what you mean about not knowing if it's cramps, gas, or growing pains.
I actually just logged on today after being away for a couple weeks. The bad stories were just too much to handle.
Had a scan at 11/1 and all was fine. Next scan and MaterniT21 results next Monday. All I can do is hope and pray....

That's brilliant news. With every scan the chances of mc goes down. You have pretty much made it ouf the first trimester. Horror stories scared me too. Kept googling percentage of miscarriage after so and so weeks. Just remain positive and try to relax. Easier said than done I know. x

I told my husband when we found out I'm preggo again that that is the kicker about these forums. They help so much right afterward. Reassure you that what you're feeling is normal and that it's okay. But when you get pregnant again you can't help but think about all the horrible things that could happen. Here you read about all of it, concentrated all in one place. I totally get that. I keep trying to tell myself that this isn't the norm. That all those horrible things aren't as common as they seem on here. :)

Hang in there. You're over the first big hurdle. The tricky first 8 weeks. That's something to celebrate! :hugs:
