Well it's been a bit of a hectic week for me.

I've been in and out of fetomaternal a few times since new year, and last Thursday I had a 36 week appointment with my consultant which was booked when I was 20 weeks. I had protein again and BP problems so I completed 24 hr urine sampling last Friday and the MW came on Monday to check my BP. She sent me back to fetomaternal so on Monday I spent 5 hours there having a CTG, scan, bloods and urine sampling. I had to do another 24 hr urine sample and took that in on Tuesday. 2.5 hrs later the protein was better and BP had gone down a bit so I was sent home to come back today to see the consultant again. I was confused though as to how come my protein and BP keep going up and then coming back down a bit.

Just been now to see consultant and BP is up to 153/93, so it's high but not super high, but protein is up to 3+. I mentioned I keep seeing flashing lights, only once a day and my eyes aren't focussing as well so I was given the option to be admitted now or do another 24 hr urine sample and bring in tomorrow as an outpatient. They want to get me to 38 weeks. I chose the latter so am home now with my sample bottle (this is my 5th 24hr sampling) and have to go back tomorrow.

So hopefully tomorrow I'll know more about what they will do and will see what happens. So far this week I've spent 9.5 hrs in day care. Getting a bit fed up now :dohh:

What does this sound like? What do you think will happen? For those who have had preeclampsia what was your protein level and BP?

Hi sweetie, didn't want to read and run. But I'm afraid I don't have any advice on this.
Just wanted to give a hug and wish you lots of luck. I'm thinking of you and sending lots of PMA to you.

Hugs.
xx

hi i don't know what my protein level was but i'm sure i had 3+ at times. I suffered high bp to. At 36 weeks my midwife visited me at home and she took me into hospital because she said i might have pe. The hospital is a 5 min walk away and i had to go in the ambulance. When i got there i was checked over and was took to delivery suite where 3 times i was tried to be induced then on the wednesday night i was told i would have a c-section on the thursday. You will be fine, if you go in they will most likely monitor you and the baby x hope you get everything sorted x

Hi Chele, thats really sucks, I'm sorry its worked out that way. I don't have any experience but just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. Hopefully you'll get another week but if not then I'm sure its because its best for you and baby. If that's what's meant to happen then all you can do is try to make the best of it. And remember your prize at the end... :hugs:

thanks jaybee, greenlady and pink23. It's the not knowing and constantly being in and out of hospital at the minute that's doing my head in. I wish they'd just say right lets induce you next Thursday unless you go downhill when we'll get you in sharpish. Maybe they will tomorrow. Who knows. I know all about PET but not people's experiences

Aww chele sorry to hear that :( Must be very annoying not knowing whats going on. Sorry ive no advice but just wanted to send some :hugs: hopefully someone will have experienced the same and have good advice for you. Wishing you loadsa luck for 2moro! Hope everything works out x:flower:

Does anybody else have any experience of this?

well i'm 39 weeks today and have spent the last couple of days in and out of the hospital day assessment unit. my bp is 150/90, but it even went as high as 160/94 on the first day. eventually, after loads of messing around and me waiting for an outcome, they gave me some pills yesterday to lower my bp. but i wasn't kept in for monitoring. i really just want to be induced now. i am not meant to be going back in until sunday but i rang up this a.m to say i want my bp checked to know that the pills are doing their job so i'm being checked at 1pm. i have had lightly raised bp at times during my third trimester but it has really shot up and you would think it would make sense to either keep me in until it has lowered with the right meds or induce me. they gave me a double dose pill yesterday and checked my bp one hour later but it hadn't come down but they sent me home anyway. thankfully i have no protein in my urine or swelling.

i totally understand where you're coming from. we could both do with induction dates to put our minds at rest. i hope you get it!
