I just gave LO his first formula feed...
He is just over a week old, my reason for doing so is that I am not producing enough milk to express as I couldn't breastfeed...
I was just wondering how I would go about express feeding and formula feeding, like what's a good routine?
And also, how much formula should LO be having each time? I made up 100 mLs and he drank about half of it...

100mls is a good amount to be offering to start with. Increase the amount by 30mls when he starts finishing off the whole bottle each time.

As for pumping, I have no proper experience (tried with DD1 and got about 10mls after 20-30mins of pumping), but I have heard that you produce most milk between 1am-4am, so try and make one of your pumping sessions between those times.

Also try and work out how many pumped feeds and how many formula feeds you want to do a day. So if your baby feeds 8 times in 24 hours and you want to do 4 formula and 4 pumped feeds, then you will have to pump 4 times a day to keep up with his demand (thats taking for granted that you produce enough milk for 1 feed each pumping session). xxx
