This pregnancy was very unexpected and it happened shortly after I started to stabilize from all the weight loss. I would eat things that weren't so good for me within the first month of pregnancy but after that I actually started eating a really good diet. I would say anywhere from 1200 to 1500 calories and 30 to 40 carbs per day. No processed foods when I could help it, just salad, eggs, toast, cheese sticks and fruit. I don't eat sugar and I only drink water. This has been going on since June. I don't know what to do because I've already piled on half the weight that I've lost. When I talked to a specialist she told me that she sees it happen a lot with people who lose a lot of weight and then get pregnant. I think she was just saying that to make me feel better. Is there anyone else out there who has experienced this? The extra weight gain really just makes no sense to me especially considering I've been doing really good eating. As a SAHM mom of two kids, I don't really have time to go to the gym.
Things I have checked to rule out the cause:
- thyroid, good
- seizure meds, good
- Fiber intake, good
- staying hydrated, good
- GD tested @ 21w, negative so far.
