I am sorry this is so long but please read!! I am starting to worry a bit ladies :( so a little background a few days ago I was going to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a giant gob of mucous on the toilet paper. So I kind of got worried and asked a few people about it as this has never happened in my previous pregnancies, ad I was assured that it was totally normal to lose your mucous plug and that it will grow back and not too worry unless associated with pain or bleeding. Well I was having slight cramping but nothing that was crazy painful plus it was pretty late at night so I decided it wasn't worth going to the ER over or anything. I continued to lose like the tiniest of chunks over the next couple days and then just now I was going to the bathroom again and when I got up to wipe there was a giant gob of mucous plug hanging between my legs! I have slight cramping and no bleeding but I am really starting to get worried!! I have never experienced this in my previous two pregnancies. I REALLY don't want to go to the ER because I live in a small town and it's in a small clinic (not a hospital) and I know they will keep me because of legal reasons but will literally just put me in a bed make me wait for hours and just tell me that if something IS wrong there is nothing they can do for me this early in pregnancy as I am only 15 weeks. So I guess I dont really know what to do! I am really worried but don't think it's something to drive all the way to Labor and Delivery which is half hour away and it's almost midnight here. Any advice? I am in the US

I've been having this my entire pregnancy too, huge globs of it coming out, alongside bh that make my whole belly rock hard, and I have to stop what I'm doing due to pain.. I was worried as well, however my cervix is remaining long and closed so it's just an unfortunately worrying symptom for me. I always say trust your gut, if you are worried, whose it going to hurt to get checked? Better safe than sorry momma. xx

I appear be losing bits of mine started about 15w too. Bit earlier than last time but i feel fine

If you dont feel fine get checked out.

I lost some a few weeks ago it even had a streak of blood in it, and the hospital told me it's quite common at this stage and it regenerates.
Hopefully this will be the same for you honey :flower:

I've been told it regenerates over until around 36 weeks :) good luck

I keep losing mucous like discharge this pregnancy, if I was 37 weeks + I'd swear it was part of my plug, but as there's no blood I'm not concerned at all, with my son I lost mucous for weeks, it wasn't until it was bloody that it meant he was coming.

Hopefully that's what's happening to you too, and worst case scenario if it is plug it does regenerate.

Sounds totally normal! I have been getting massive amounts of mucous, seriously humongous globs of it. As long as there isn't any blood, I wouldn't be concerned! If you're really worried, just call and ask. They would rather you call and ask and be fine than NOT call, and there's a problem. :flower:

Yeah can you just call your OB's office and talk to a nurse? That's what I do when I'm concerned, and they can tell you over the phone what to watch for and when it's really a concern. If it sounds like something they'll want to see you for, then they'll have you come in. Sometimes just talking to a nurse can really help ease your fears. Cramping is still normal around 15 weeks, as long as it's not like debilitating and there's no blood, I'm sure you're fine, but why don't you just call to be on the safe side? They would check your cervix and as long as it's closed there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I get this now and again, especially after sex (tmi). Doctor checked me and everything was fine. I would get checked out for your peace of mind though.

I've also lost bits of what I assume must be mucus plug, globs of snotty mucus coming out on the toilet paper. Nothing so far has come of it. x
