It's what would have happened if the plane didn't crash.
Is Desmond gonna be the key to the whole thing? Can he see into both 'lives'? This is what I am thinking at the mo!

So how come desmond was on the plane?? Wouldnt he still b on the island??? Or is it what would happen if the island was destroyed???

Hurley and libby can c both lives too?? therefore it must me some sort of alternate reality??

Can i just say... I think daniel faraday/ Widmore is totally yummy in a geek kinda way!!!

i want to know where all the stuck people are coming from and why only hurley can see them, i still want to know about walt.

I'm glad they explained the Whispers. But, it seems like for every answer we get, like 10 more questions pop up. Who the F are these kids? Young Jacob and MIB?

and did you notice in charles witmores officr the scales with a white and black stone.

the whispers are dead people, is micheal dead he blew up on the ship didnt he,?

desmond was on the plane because by then the swan hatch had been blown up so the button experiment thing had never happened, but... the island is still there they'd just changed direction i presume.

oh i'm confused lol i'm only watching it cos i want to know what its about now if not i've wasted 5 yrs of my life lol

Yes, the whispers are dead people. If so, then it appears that Michael is dead as well and yeah I think its from when he blew up the freighter.

See its hard to figure out who was on the alternate timeline plane, because the Island is under water in the beginning of that one. So there is no Island?

I know Hurley and Libby can remember parts of their other life, but I thought maybe Desmond was seeing/living both lives at the same time as 'Locke' pushed him down the well and then he seemed to get his revenge by running him over in the other life?
I think he is gonna be important, Charles obviously thinks he is and he knows lots about the island!

charles witmore is going to try and somehow blow up the island and thats why he wanted desmond to do something cos he knew desmond would somehow live through the event

i'm only guessing, he said he needs someone that can live through an catastrophic event and then make a sacrifice, so i'm thinking he'll do something and leave desmond the last one on the island to protect it. or something like that

Yeah I was wondering about that. Also, WTF is up with Desmond being all "Okay, lets get at it!" when Charles came up to him, then when Sayid told him he was with dangerous people and he was like "Okay, lead the way!".

I'm not sure about Sayid at the moment - he hasn't been the same since the drowning incident!

Widmore put Desmond in the electromagnet chamber, and when not-Locke pushed him down the well, he'd told him that it had been built because they were looking for the reason their compass needles spun. Does he WANT Widmore to go find Desmond?

And the island has been mentioned in the sideways flash things by Ben and his dad although they didn't say why they left but Ben's dad deffo said he was in the Dharma.

Agreed - too many questions to get through before the end! I think after this week's episode there's a week break as well - maybe someone in US or someone with Sky can confirm that?

Oooh, I can't wait to see how they finish it, but I still don't get these whole 2 lives?? Are they what happened if the plane hadn't of crashed, or 2 separate lives? Cause Desmond didn't know Penny in his alternate life, whereas when he's on the island in earlier series, he does know her???
