Low AMH - everybody is welcomed.

I just want to jump in here for a second and say that I found out I have low AMH this year as well. I found out because my doctor sent to me to a fertility clinic after I had a miscarriage. Well I am naturally pregnant again. That's twice in one year. Hopefully this one will stick. But I just want to say, that I worried myself beyond sick about the AMH but apparently it does NOT mean you are infertile. Hope this helps.

Hi hopefulhippo,

Thank you for encouraging me :). I had a chemical in June and I really hope that one at least one of my eggs is good and it will stick. Thanks that you made me smile today. And H&H 9 months to you. X

Happy to hear that. And I want to say, that I have heard from numerous sources that low AMH does NOT mean 'bad eggs'. Also, I recommend, looking into the work of Randine Lewis. You'll get a better sense of how the egg develops over a three month period and what can help it be it's best possible self! Good luck, i know how you're feeling.

I repeated my AMH after the failed IVF and got quite a shock - it dropped from 1.38 ng/mL in Feb to 0.92 ng/mL in Oct, just in 8 months! On UK scale it would be approximately from 9.9 pmol/L to 6.6 pmol/L (using my favourite formula: 0.92 ng/mL x 1000 mL/1 L x 1 mol/140 kg = 6.57 pmol/L). My reserve is diminishing so fast despite all my efforts and healthy lifestyle. truly depressing…

Zita West in her book also says that low AMH is no indication of egg quality but my FS said the opposite. how confusing

I had my amh tested in 2012 and was 0,5 , was so depressed and lost hope ,as it was very low ( i was 36.5 ) i got pregnant soon after , miscarried at 6 weeks .
I tested again in 2013 ,it was 0,2 almost non existent , doc suggested IUI but warned us about my "condition" so i went home , depressed 2 weeks later i got pregnant after my 38 Bday !!
Both times it took only 4 months ( supplements ,temping and with opks) to get PG.

Im almost 12 weeks now and so far so good , for some reason I cant trust this AMH thingie so blindly ,it made me so depressed and at the end i didn't have problems conceiving at all ...so for the ladies that got a low result ,please dont loose hope !

amh is important for ivf. unfortunately we have low sperm count issue and icsi is our only option. if we ttc naturally i would not worry that much cos i agree you can still get pregnant naturally with low amh.

don't know my amh but my lh is close to 27 and my Fsh is 30ish. just here looking for hope :)
