Low HCG levels..looking for advice.

Hi,

I am new to this site but have been reading some of the threads and there seems to be a lot of information out there so really hoping someone can help me!

I found out 2 weeks ago that I am pregnant but was immediately worried as I had an early miscarriage in August and have fallen pregnant again before having a period. Because of mc was unsure of my dates but 8 days ago I used a clearblue digital test that said 3+, my doc said that meant I should be about 6 weeks now if we were counting from LMP. Had blood taken at EPU this morning to check my HCG levels and they are only 564 which I was told is very low for 6 weeks, got to go back on Tuesday to see if they have risen. Has anyone had levels this low and gone on to have a successful pregnancy???

Try not to worry. Under the circumstances you have no idea how far along you are. You may only be 4 weeks which would make your HCG great! When you get your second test you'll know more. The doubling of the numbers is what's important, not the level itself.

Thanks ladies, really hope I'm just not as far along as I thought! However have had some light bleeding/spotting since posting this so finding it hard to stay positive. Tuesday seems so far away!

I had my levels checked at 4w 2d and it was 151. My doctor said that was low and got me in a panic. However, if you check the chart, it's actually within normal range. I went back at 4w 4d and got them checked again. They were 351 which was great.I had to wait all weeked for the results though! All that matters is that they double in 2-3 days. If you have them checked at exactly 2 days, a 60% rise is considered healthy.

Have you had another blood test performed? They really can't tell much of anything by one test so I would insist on at least one more (I ended up with two) to make sure that your levels are rising as they should.

My levels were 163 at 4 weeks 2 days pregnant and I got sent for an emergency test as my doctor said that was low. at 4 weeks 5 days they were in the mid 500s and 5 days after that they had gone up to 3800.

Thank you for the advice everyone, unfortunately I found out yesterday that my HCG levels have dropped so i'm having another early miscarriage. Hopefully I'll be back soon and my third pregnancy will be the one that sticks.
