Hello ladies, I've just been told via a private clinic that my ovarian reserve is low for my age - 6.7 at 31 years. The doctor told me that ICSI (or IVF if OH sperm can improve) is our only real option (even that at only 22% chance per cycle).
However, we have finally come up on the IUI waiting list on the NHS and I don't know whether we go for it or not?? The private doctor has basically said it won't be any different than trying naturally for us (ie. very low chances) but now I'm confused as to whether to take the free IUI option anyway, or hold off, save my body the stress and look to IVF later in the year...
Anyone who has been in the same boat and has any tips, it would be very much appreciated!! I can't actually believe that this has happened - still in a state of shock at the news my egg supply is actually that of someone ten years older! Totally left field. According to the NHS we're just unexplained but private has suddenly given me a reason why after 2 and a bit years not even a hint of a baby. Not sure how I feel about that yet!!!
