Low progesterone and bicornuate uterus

While my doctor acknowledged that my progesterone levels were on the low side (5.42), she said that they indicate I'm ovulating. So she doesn't want to do anything about it right now. I'm concerned that my eggs are not "strong" enough, and that's why my cycles are shorter (25 days) and my progesterone was low.

On another note, it has been confirmed through two tests (an ultrasound and HSG) that I have a heart-shaped (bicornuate) uterus. I also had an MRI last week to triple-check this diagnosis, but I don't have those results yet. From everything I've read online, this shouldn't affect my fertility. It just might result in some complications during pregnancy. If I ever get pregnant!

So after I had the HSG last week, which showed both of my tubes are open, my doctor just wants to wait for 3 months to see if I get pregnant. I'm not a huge fan of this plan. I understand that she said clomid might not be very successful since I'm already ovulating, but I feel like I've been playing the "wait and see" game for the last year.

I want to ask her about rechecking my progesterone or maybe trying progesterone supplements.

I have an appointment with a fertility specialist scheduled, but it's not until August. I was hoping my ob/gyn could help me before then.

Anyone else have a bicornuate uterus? Anyone have any advice/feedback for me?

Thanks!

I also have low progesterone levels. My doctor put me on metformin 1000mg a day as that's supposed to help regulate everything as well as help with my insulin resistance. He also has me taking a crapload of vitamins to help raise my progesterone levels. I'd look into vitamins if your dr won't do anything for you. I know it's a long shot but this has been the first month that I've had EWCM in a long time Andy cycle seems to be getting longer. Which is good since before I was getting it every 15 days. It's worth looking into. But if I were you I'd look into getting a second opinion from a different dr. I found some drs are hesitant to hand out drugs and just want to take the natural approach which is aggravating when you've been trying for so long.
