Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation and has any advice. I had my day 3 bloods done (LH and FSH) and all was normal then had my 'post ovulation' progesterone bloods done and got a result of 24.6nmol/l which was low as it has to be at least 30nmol/l for it to show ovulation. I saw the nurse and she said basically it doesn't look like I have ovulated and therefore would need medication... which would be fine except because Im overweight they have said no to that!

So what does this mean, other than rapidly trying to lose weight?
can progesterone change?
I don't see why it would be so high if I haven't ovulated.. Guess Im just hoping for miracle stories.. /support

Hi Ninix:hi:

I've just done a quick search on this issue and it seems that if you're overweight, it's normal for progesterone to be lower and to have anovulatory cycles. It also looks like being overweight diminishes your body's response to fertility medication so maybe that's why they won't give it too you:shrug:

Here's the article if you're interested: https://www.fitpregnancy.com/pregnancy/getting-pregnant/fat-and-fertility

Hope this article helps to answer your questions.

Good luck, I hope you see your :bfp: soon :dust:
