LTTC & Purchasing things for baby before pregnant??

p.s. The thinking with the baby stuff I have is that if the worst happens and we can't have a child, it can be given as new baby gifts for those more fortunate than us.

Hi Girly... You have received a lot of great advice... & i will give you mine too.
I love love baby things.... I can go to baby store & spend hours in there because everything is so cute. But I'm a big believer of TTC Journey & Pregnancy journey being very different things. Of course once in a while we cave & buy that one cute onesie.. Sleeper ... Or blankie.. All things that could easily be put away. But this is what I 've done, & has helped me alot. I have a list of things that I want to accomplish before getting pregnant. (even though I'm ready for those 2 lines to appear in the stick right away) but little things that are baby related in some way. Like organizing closets drawers & things I have stored. I guess it's like getting ready for baby because once you have that little bundle of joy these will be the last things you would wanna do. I'm planning a vacation with hubby before getting pregnant. & lately I've been concentrating on getting my body
In the best shape ever to carry a baby with routinely exercises & health eating. All these things are all baby related but I feel good because I'm not taking away from my pregnancy journey.
Of course this doesn't mean I don't go into my spare room ( which is an office right now) & dream nursery. There's no problem in that. I know exactly where everything will go, crib dresser , chair... Etc. I have the bedding I want picked out for girl/boy ... & sometimes I go on baby websites & make wish lists of what I want to buy once I
Get preggo.
Leave the buying the big things & nursery decorating to when you get that BFP I am sure you will have a wonderful time buying these things knowing there's already a bun in the oven rather than just wishing there was one!
But like I said... It's only my point of view... & I totally respect yours & everyone else's on here!

I did this with clothes, I bought so much gender neutral stuff. I regret it so much!, Each time i would walk past the bedroom that would have been a nursery it kills me so I've given it all away to my cousin. I wouldn't have been able to cope with a fully decorated nursery.

Plus if i could have kids i would love to decorate and build a nursery while pregnant.
