I've got a positive opk today... Yay me :D my dilemma is that I always dry up during sex... I know a lot will suggest pre seed but its so expensive..

My question is will ky jel or saliva do any harm? X

i dont think neither one is sperm friendly

I wouldn't use KY or saliva - like PP said, they are not sperm friendly.

For what it's worth, I purchased Preseed and have been using it for about 6 cycles, so it can last a while. We only use it when i'm fertile. I think it's only $20 (def. under $25) so it's well worth it, I found mine at Target.

Some women also use Conceive Plus, which I think you can find on Amazon for under $20.

For other days, we have an organic lube that we use, which I was told was sperm friendly.

Yeah - I'd stay away from KY and saliva....
But if you're really in a pinch I think baby oil and even canola oil are supposed to be a pretty sperm friendly lubes. I'd go for the baby oil myself, something about using cooking oil would make me feel like a piece of meat lol

Actually, when we first started TTC and I didn't want to go out and buy Preseed (because I thought at the time it was too pricey) I just used baby oil...then I read so many conflicting things about how you shouldn't use it so we stopped. Something about how sperm need to live in water based lubes and baby oil is...well oil.

Also - it's difficult to wash out oil from your vagina, so it could lead to yeast infection!
