Lucius / Lucien / Lucian

What do you think of these names?
which do you prefer?
How would you pronounce them?

I'm leaning towards Lucien, and would plan to pronounce it the english way. LOO-shun with the nickname Louie. Do you think thats ok?

Also, what do you think of the sibset;
Morgan, Amelie & Lucien?

I love it. I would probably pronounce it Lu See En but am probably in the minority. I also love Lucius but it would remind me too much of Harry Potter.

Have to say that Lucius reminds me of Lucius Malfoy off of Harry Potter (as previous poster said) and Lucien reminds me of this cartoon where Lucien is a really naughty and mean older brother. SO I'm not sure I like either. But I like Louie, my cousin is Louis and there is a gorgeous little boy at work (I'm a teacher) called Louie too.

I pronounce Lucien/Lucian either the french way of Loo-see-en or Loo-shee-en.

My son is named Lucius, it fits him so well and we get alot of compliments on it, as it is still a very uncommon name, yet not weird. We pronounce it Loo-shius, though our English neighbour pronounces it Loo-see-us, as does anyone else who meets him if they are English.
I really like Lucien, and thought of using it as I am french canadian decent, but hubby didn't like it.

I watched underworld the other night to see how they pronounce Lucian and they pronounced it all 3 ways throughout the film so i suppose it's about personal preference?

I like Lucien and would probably pronounce it Luce-ee-en, but as you say there are lots of ways.

I think the sibset is great too!

I love Lucian! As others have said I would prob pronounce it Lu-see-en but it is personal choice! Fab names! ) My LO is Lucas but I wished I had gone for Lucian xx
