My Lo is 14 months and we are off to Spain in 2 weeks. He still has 3 bottles a day. At home he has cows milk for 2 and formula at bedtime. I am going to use formula for all 3 on holiday but I am not sure how to make it up if we will be out all day. Will it be ok to make with cool water as he is over a year ? I could take a flask but from what I have read that would only keep water hot for 3 hours. He takes his afternoon one about 3 pm so if we are out from early the water might not be hot enough.

Any advice would be welcome.

You could use carton instead? I use them all the time if i know im going to be out all day. hope this helps :)

Hey sorry I know this is old but wanted to comment.

We use cool boiled water,. I know they change things all the time but that's what we were advised to use. When we go out I take 2/3 bottles already with cool boiled water and I have a little tub that holds 3 sections of powder. So easy! X

Just make sure you boil the water first even if you're using it cold or use bottled water suitable for babies.
I dont know what milk your lo has but the SMA toddler milk comes in cartons with a straw attatched, so for the 2 day-time feeds this could be handy so you dont have to take bottles out with you. xxx

Boiling water stays hot in my tommee tippee travel bottle warmer for at least 12 hours, it's basically just a flask really. Cartons may increase the weight in your baggage quite alot but are a good idea. I always use cool boiled water to make my feeds as advised by my health visitor and then stand in hot water to heat x

I use cool, previously boiled water as well. But for longer travels (more than a day) I find it's easier to use the pre-made formulas. They're more costly but the ease and convenience is often more practical depending where you are. Justifies the expense, in my opinion. I wouldn't want to be lugging a cooler, flasks, formula containers, etc everywhere I went.

i frequently take my lad camping and just take the ready made cartons, a tad expensive but i'm 100% certain i'm not gonna make the little blighter ill, as far as going abroad os concerned and carrying it in your luggage i would make sure your case is of the hard shell variety so it dunt get squished!

id also be nervouse of foreign water from the tap and dirty kettles (limescaled) and bottle water is a big no no !

We took a travel kettle and bought low sodium bottled
Water and made as needed xx
