My LO is nearly 16 weeks and is still in her moses basket in our room. We're thinking of moving her in to her own room soon as OH is waking her up in the morning when he gets ready for work (although this is 8am so not bad at all!).

Not sure I'm ready to let go yet though. LO is sleeping well at night so she's only really being disturbed in the morning and she's got a few inches before she outgrows the moses basket.

When did you move LO into their own room for those who went from moses basket to cot & when/why did you feel ready? x

Its up to you hun when you want to move her.

Personally for myself my son will be approx 6 months before he goes into his own room as i like to be in the same room as him at the moment in his own cot because of the risk of SIDS. Thats my own personal choice though and there are differnt opinions.

Id say go with how you feel x

Rosalie is still next to us and I'm not sure I will move her for a while  With her sister I think it was about 5 months because she seemed to want to move? She'd wake up if either of us rolled over in the night :dohh:

Holly grew too big for her moses basket a couple of weeks ago (she's 12 weeks now) and I so didn't want her to go in her room, so we rearranged the furniture and got her cot into our room where she will stay until she is at least 6 weeks. Funnily enough, since then she hasn't woken with hubby's alarm as she always used to!
I have a couple of friends who have had their LO's in their rooms since about 6 weeks and they have been fine, but I couldn't handle that!

I moved my daughter at 3 month because she was waking in the middle of the night if DH or I rolled or went to the washroom. She just seemed ready and so was I. She slept much better after we moved her but she is a very light sleeper and was waking when we would go to bed or roll or make anykind of noise. I think it's a personal choice though. Do it when you feel ready.

My LO has just turned 7 months and we're looking into putting her in her own room within the next couple of weeks. At the moment she's sleeping in the travel cot in our room (she was in her crib but wanted her to get used to sleeping in a cot before moving her into her own room) fingers crossed it goes ok!

Moses baskets have a weight limit.
The one we got for Will (currently unborn LO) has a weight limit of 20lbs. So I imagine that when she outgrows her moses basket, we'll be moving her to her crib in her own room.

My LO is 8 months and is still in with us. She will be for a while yet. I'll move her when she's about a year old I think.

The thought of her being alone in a room makes me very uncomfortable

Im planning to move LO into his own room at 3 months, or when he outgrows his crib. We don't have any room for the cot in our bedroom plus OH works shifts so i expect there is a possibility OH will end up waking LO up when he gets up/returns from work. If i dont feel comfortable moving LO into his own room i may move a mattress into his room and sleep next to the cot.

Guidelines are to have your baby sleeping in the same room and you for the first 6 months. But they are just that, guidelines. Do what you feel is best while also taking the guidelines into consideration :hugs:
I co-sleep with LO but when she was newborn she was in a cot next to my bed. We will be co-sleeping for as long as LO wants to :flower:

Maya was 4 months. She had outgrown her moses basket and my husband's snoring had started waking her up so we thought it was the best thing to do. I was so nervous at first though, I slept in her room for the first week and also bought a wrap to stop her from rolling in her sleep, getting under the covers and banging her head against the sides.

We put Harrison into his own room at 11wks. I was worried about moving him so early, but we all kept disturbing eachother. He ends up in our room by the morning thou, as it is easier than keep putting him back into his cot. Not sure what I will do once he has outgrown his moses basket, lol xxx

We moved him at 8 months. We were all starting to disturb each other and he slept much better once he was in his own room - and so did we! It was the right time for us X

We moved Leah into her own room at 4 1/2 - 5 months. We were disturbing her in the night. She seems to sleep a lot better in her own room.

We moved our lo into her room at about 10 weeks, she's outgrown her moses basket and we cannot possibly fit her cot in the room. She's literally a wall away and we have a movement sensor monitor. I miss rolling over and seeing her but it is nice to get our room back!
