I know a lot of mums have this here, and was wondering, do any of you have problems with the swing stopping swinging? I cant get it to keep going? Could it be the batteries?

I had this problem too hun, i had to take it back as it eventually just wouldnt swing!!...couldnt get another as argos arent selling them anymore...spesh as it got it for £35 ...

We had this problem. Took it back to M&P and they replaced it no probs. New one works fine!

I know Rachydaz, thats what I was worried about........

It was working ok too, now it seems to just die!

Think I will try batteries as they have been sitting for a while, but I'll b gutted if cant fix it, I got mine for £35 outta Argos too!

yip i was gutted!...i even phoned mamas and papas about it to see if it could even get fixed but nope they wouldnt as i hadnt got it from there  lol

hope its just the batteries hun :)

If its a faulty M&P product, they are the manufacturer and the name on the warrantee, so its them you should speak to, definitely. Doesn't matter if you got it on sale somewhere.

All my M&P stuff has its booklet

Mine's more lethargic than it used to be and stops swinging if I don't give it a push to start it but I think that's Ozzie's cubbiness/battery related :)

grrr!! really?...how unfair they told me basically there was nothing they could do :saywhat: oh well ill know in future boohoo!

OMG! Yes, we have this problem. Can't find receipt either. Might print this thread and demand refund anyway - they should recall it if it's this shoddy!

Oh my god, i thought it was just mine, or that hollie was getting too big for it, but i change batteries every week, it'll work then stop and if i dare to push it, it completely turns off and the music wont turn off, unless i pull the batteries out, think i'll call them monday, thought it was just me xxx

I've always found M&P to be very helpful whenever I've contacted them.

( They sent me some bolts and a bracket out for a 2 year old cot FOC )

But legally speaking they dont have to do anything. You're sale of contract is with the retailer you bought it from not the manufacturer. You should deal with Argos / whoever you bought it off

x

lol mine does this sometimes too!
its weird

they need to put decent music and nursery rhymes on it too me thinks!
hee hee
xxxx

ours sings "jumping in the toy box"
well if willow ever jumps in the toy box she will be in big trouble! LOL!

Tinkabells - to stop the music you have to press and hold the musical note button.

It started working again today ok, then buggered up again. I think there must me a knack, but i havent figured it....

I think there's a knack thing too. I never realised that I'd have to give it a push start to get it to swing otherwise it switches itself off:shrug:

I wouldnt pay pissing £99 for it, thats for sure!

Totally agree, I'm glad it was a bargain. I used to have a cheap Fisher Price one and I never had any issues with it!

Oh and does anyone else find that you have to be super careful lifting babies in and out of it to avoid bashing their heads on the top of it?

Yup, Alex had a total nervous breakdown as I hadnt had it out for a while, and knocked her head on the stars(luckily it wasnt hard!)

Oh dear !! I wish I'd read this thread earlier, just bought one from ebay and picked it up but when I got it home it worked on speeds 1 to 3 in the upright position but if I try speeds 4 and 5 or put it in recline (with no weight in it yet!) it tries really hard but barely moves. Girl I bought it from said there were new batteries in it but now I've contacted her she says I should try some more batteries. I think I've been had !!

Ours is temperamental too. I thought it was just mine...

Same issues as others, wont swing and then switches off after 20 secs. Pushing it makes no difference.

Will be contacting M&P/Argos, I cant believe I thought it was normal! :dohh:
