ok from re watching the 1st episode, i think Ruth was at a night class when Alice died and that's why her grandad had her, the evil MIL shouted at her when she wanted to redecorate Alices room about her not being such a good mother when she left Alice with them all the time to swan off to night classes

in the trailer i think it was the moment ruth found out alice died when the police walked in
the reason they are scared when they find out who ruth is maybe she was sectioned n i think id be scared if id be a bit scared if someone was watching my baby n i found out they used to live in my house n their child died seems a bit odd shes not mentioned she lived there or alices death????? but i dont think it was ruth i might be wrong
ive really enjoyed marchlands its ending but excited to find out what happened hope eveythings clear n we're not left hanging n not really sure who it was
