Marmite?

what do you think of giving this to a baby?

MY LO is 10 months old (in 2 days ) and obviously I am not giving him any salt / sugar but I worry marmite might have too much salt?

I only gave it to him today for the first time and he loved it. Obviously it was a tiny, tiny amount ... literally a scraping on the plain no added salt brown rice cake?

I think everything in moderation is fine, giving something like that to a LO every day is obviously not an ideal thing to do. Lucas also loves marmite lol.

My OH was very disappointed my LO loves it :hehe: he is a marmite hater!

That's true about moderation and he's getting nearer the 1 year mark now so I think when salty things slip in here and there it's not the end of the world.

LO has had marmite on toast once a week (ish) from about 9 months old..

i dont add salt to any of her meals, and its only a very thin scraping so she just gets the taste of it.

As long as it stays within the daily guidelines, I don't see any problem with it. I gave it as soon as I thought of it.

Mmmmmmmmm I love marmite!

I haven't given it to LO yet but I will. As others have said, as long as you're aware of the salt content (it sounds like you are) then anything in moderation is fine!
