Hi guys,
I'm going to be 27 this July and I'm married for 2.5 years. I am eager to have a baby but I'm scared of pregnancy. Every time I think of it, I freak out and I'm never sure of when I will be ready to be a mother.
My cycle is pretty consistent. Please help me.

If you really want to be a mother but not be pregnant, have you considered fostering or adoption?

maybe if you tell us exactly what you are scared of we can help :)

.... is it morning sickness? general anxiety around realising you're pregnant? weight gain? childbirth? what exactly is the fear? maybe you aren't ready right now... but remember either way- some women are scared and end up absolutely loving being pregnant- like a good friend of mine. Things are always different then what you imagine them to be.

Hi there! Thanks for reading my thread :)

That's really thoughtful of you :) I'm scared about realizing I'm pregnant maybe!

I hope I'll get over with it and as you said....Things are always different then what you imagine them to be :D

Keep in touch!

No problem! we all need support sometimes :)

if that's the fear then I don't think you have anything to worry about!! that is temporary and you'll soon get used to being pregnant.

:)I did not enjoy pregnancy. I was so excited to get pregnant but then the reality for me hit. I was horribly sick (and I have a phobia of vomiting) for 5 months. Then as I started to get over it, severe anaemia kicked in and I was really poorly. Then by the time the iron infusions & tablets kicked in, I was heavily pregnant & everything hurt

BUT it’s 9 months. Not forever. And it’s amazing how quickly you forget. And it’s so worth it. I’ll hopefully do it all again.

So don’t worry. Most pregnancies aren’t as rough as mine. And even if it is, you can do it! And get a wonderful child of your own at the end :baby:

Thanks so much ladies :) I and my OH have finally decided to have a baby this year!!! Yaay! I'm super excited :) I am eating healthy and trying to stay fit and fine since a month.. I'll continue doing it for 2 more months and then TTC #1 from July :) Fingers crossed!!!

I am very glad that you thought of it. I was also very scared at the begining but eventually when you realize that you are going to be a mother. That feeling is paradise and no one can steal that happiness from you. I wish you all the very best for your pregnancy. I bet you will love it rough or easy.
