Just wondering how far along everyone was when they started wearing maternity clothes!

I have just turned 19 weeks with my first child and cant get the button fastened on most of my normal jeans but feel that the maternity ones I have are still a little on the big side! I don't fancy buying the next size up in normal jeans in case I'm tempted to stay in them after the baby is here instead of get back down to my old size!

I have a pair of work maternity pants from old navy but thats it. Not quite big enough to fill maternity clothes yet but soon enough I'm sure.

I starting wearing some maternity combat trousers when i was just about 12 weeks, my jeans were just getting too tight, & instead of looking pregnant i was starting to look fat, lol. But this is my 3rd baby, so i wasn't really that slim in the first place!!

Where abouts in Fife are you from? We live in Kirkcaldy, but hope to move sometime soon.

Just last week I started wearing maternity pants. My normal jeans stopped fitting almost suddenly, I started to just wear them with the button undone as I was being too stubborn to wear the maternity ones.. but, I had to give up the old ones as my new large belly needs comfort! the things we do for our babies... :)

I am in Kirkcaldy too! Small world eh :)

I think i had to start wearing them at about 15weeks, didnt want to go a size up cos just look daft sometimes. Topshop do a really good range of maternity jeans, i didnt want anything that went over my tummy, cant stand the feeling, but their range is really good and dont look like maternity stuff at all.

Hmm, I think I was around 12 weeks when I started wearing my mat pants, I have a couple that I wear that fit me perfect but everything else is too big. Which reminds me, I should really go shopping :dohh:

Have you had your 2nd scan yet? Are you going to be having your baby in Forth Park?

Just had second scan today! All went well but got to go back for another one in 2 weeks time though as she couldn't get the head measurement as we couldn't get bubs to move to see it well enough! I dont mind getting to see it a third time though! :happydance:

Baby will be born in Forth Park - will yours?

I am only in mat pants. I don't think I will purchase any mat tops at all, maybe just M or L instead of my usual S.

I started wearing mat pants at about 12 weeks, they were way more comfortable than my pants I used to wear to work. But I could have still worn my normal jeans just undone, but now there is no squeezing myself into the old ones, so I stick to just maternity now. Aqua, I wasnt sure I needed mat shirts either, but I bought a few at Motherhood and I love them! They are just v neck stretchy shirts and then a few thermal tops and they are so much more comfortable for some reason and I love how long they are:)

my hubby actually bought me two actual mat tops, both long sleeved and longer, SO comfy.

however, what i really want is a shorter skirt. i don;t wanna spend too much on it, so i hope to find some good sale soon.
i am actually wondering about panty hose....should I buy the maternity kind or just buy a size bigger than usual?

Yes, our baby will be born at Forth Park too, i'm due the 8th Feb, when is your date?

Hope that they can get the measurements they want next time, it is great seeing the baby at scans. We were in there for ages last time as a student Dr was having a go aswell.:happydance:

Whereabouts in Kirkcaldy do you stay, near town, sainsburys etc. Just so you don't have to give away where you actually live to everyone who reads this, lol!!

I'm not due until 12th April. I cant wait for then, I'm too impatient to wait 9 months!

I stay in the vicinity of Kirkcaldy High School, what about you?

I was about 21 or 22 weeks wen i started wearing Mat pants.

If I hadnt of started wearing them then I would of looked like i was being poured into my normal jeans most probs. But I didnt have much of a bump at first and then I ballooned.

So you aren't far from where my DP spends most of his weekends then, the golf club, lol!!

We are on the edge of Kirkcaldy, in the direction of Leven!

Your baby will be here before you know it, i think the time seems to be really flying by!
