Okay i don't know if anyone else has posted but i'm just curious.

I will be working for my current company 26 weeks in july (after being made redundant from my awesome previous job where i stayed for a long 2 years 6 months)

i was just wondering, because i am moving house and hoping for an internal transfer to another store, if the 26weeks will start at 0 again? or if it will carry on?

im hoping it will carry on, i dont see why it wouldn't, i'll be within the same company and be employed by the same employer.

anyone had any experience of this?
or any views will be much appreciated.

I'm not sure but because it will be the same company, i assume that it will just carry on. But maternity pay eligibility states you need to have been working for the company for atleast 26 weeks 15 weeks before the week the baby is due (so at 24-25 weeks pregnant).

If you are working for the same company, it will count as continuous service.

thanks :) I've found out I can't get a job with the same company where I am moving too, the only best thing to do now is quit and try to find a temp job until our little one arrives. I've found out I am entitled to maternity allowance so that's something :)

Its all so complicated though :(
