How old was your LO when you took out the insert that kept their back flat?

Louie is 11 weeks now and he looks more comfortable without the insert in the seat but just wondering if he is too young still to have that?

Jamie has just turned 14 weeks and we took it out a week ago. We couldnt actually fit his head in the gap anymore! lol

The instructions with mine said 3 months so we tooks ours out just afterwards x

I have a pebble too. I'll leave it in for a bit longer then...

I guess a more accurate question would be how much did your LO weigh approximately when you took it out? Louie is 13lbs 5oz.

we took it out when max's feet were hanging off the edge of the carseat! (around 3 months)

Ah well, Poppy is only 15lbs now. I'll check in her red book to see how much she weighed then!

I noticed the instructions didn't say when to take the headrest out, but I took it out when I had to change the length of the straps, which was about 3 weeks ago

I was wondering this too. Jasper is 11 weeks today and weighs 14lb 8. He looks really uncomfortable with the insert in but I read somewhere that you should wait until they can hold their own head. He cant do this for a great length of time yet.
