Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Sorry Lucky, just remembered you asked about the diaper deals. If you go to amazon.com and sign up for Amazon Mom (it's free), then you get 15% off of baby items. Then, if you sign up for "Subscribe and Save", it increases to 30%. With the subscription, you can choose to have them sent every month, two months, etc. I order Seventh Generation Size 1 (it has to be the ones sold by Amazon, not other stores). Without the discounts it would cost 20 cents a diaper. With them, it goes down to 14 cents and there's free shipping. (The Pampers Swaddlers are 15 cents each for comparision). I was worried about the Subscribe and Save at first because I wasn't sure how easy it'd be to update once his diaper size changes, but it is actually simple. I can change the settings or cancel at any time. We also subscribed for wipes.
We compared these prices to other places like babies r us, walmart, diapers.com and they were the best we could find.

I may still be WTT 2013 depending on how things with OH are goes and how long it takes for my weight and pelvis to stabilise :) I don't think my pelvis will ever go back to normal, I think having my legs rammed into stirrups when I had Dylan damaged it too much

I'm starving, I can't wait til OH gets home and cooks dinner (he has another thing coming if he thinks that I am standing in that kitchen cooking with my pelvis playing me up :haha:)

Bethany has been good as gold today, bit sleepy which means she will probably be attached to me all evening, Dylan has cheered up too, I found some bananas in the cupboard that were about to turn black so we made a lovely smoothie with them and some tangerine juice and a yoghurt, it was delish.

Aww Dylan just walked up to Bethany in her rocker and gave her a cuddle and a kiss :cloud9: They are best buddies, she saves all her best smiles for him :)

Thanks Bizy!!! So excited to find them at a good price. We've been going through about 14 diapers a day at this point. Our closet full of diapers is dwindling down, we probably only have a months worth left the way this kid goes through them.

So last night I got sleep from 11-12am. I'm seriously pooped and Liam is just miserable so I made an appointment with his doctor for Friday. Just hoping we can figure out something to help this little guy out. Kind of worried about him being able to take medication though because whenever I try to give gripe water or gas relief drops he likes to spit them out.

Lucky cant you get something that mixes in his feed? Just express a tiny amount before each feed and mix it in then feed as normal. Here we have colief. Hope the doctor can help hun :hugs:

I forgot to mention this yesterday, but the TT electric pump is half price in the Asda baby event! As is a steriliser and manual pump and range of other bits, nappies etc xx

Glad I could help Lucky. So sorry that Liam is having such a hard time. :hugs:

New- I read somewhere about mixing it with some breastmilk in a syringe so maybe I will try that. Expressing a bit by hand is pretty easy. I have to be careful with pumping though because I don't want my oversupply back. I can't wait until the 3 month mark where breastfeeding is extremely easy.

Owiiieee, my back door issue as returned. :(

I've given in and off to pick a mini electric medela!! xx

aww 24/7 :hugs: :hugs:

One baby is asleep in his bed, the other is asleep in her rocker, time for dinner I think, we normally have dinner with Dylan but I bought some nice steak for us both to enjoy so we are goinng to have that soon then watch TV together :)

Had a rough night.. had to take Daniel to the ER last night.. he was over-the-top fussy and couldn't be comforted. Then we noticed his upper lip suddenly swelled up.
Seems to have been nothing, thank goodness. DH was freaked out by it and worried/panicked, lol.

Doctor was also concerned because he said the top fontanel had already closed... we have our pediatrician appt on Wednesday so we'll have it looked at again there.

I also think that he does have a bit of tongue tie.. he finally stuck his tongue out far and the tip turned into a heart-shape. But I had 4 people evaluate him and they all couldn't detect it and I can't make him stick his tongue out on purpose. I'll ask the ped about that too... if fixing it would make nursing pain-free I'd be so happy.

Good luck for wednesday Lisa, hope you get some answers:hugs:

Lucky :hugs:

Wiggler, yummy steak! Sounds like a great night:flower:

Oh no 24 hope your back door gets better fast!

i too have back door issues, it took till day 10 to go, that was horrific and very painful, i cried like a baby witht he stomach pains, im now nearing day 7 since ive been, my stomach has swelled something cronic and the pains are back but no loo run yet, i got diagnosed with IBS after having Leila, which was soon fixed and hasnt flaired up since, but i think coupled with the blockage it may be bothering me again. ive got some nasty stuff to drink similar to fybogel, and its vile. normal dose is 2 sachets doctors put me on 6 -8 a day for a week, eakkkkkk it makes me feel sick lol

hand expressing a bit for a syringe should be enough for the drops lucky hun. You literally just need a tiny amount to mix, but it should stop him spitting the drops back at you. Hope you both get some relief soon!

Lisa Im glad everything was ok at the ER hun. I hope your paed dr can help with the tongue tie on Wednesday, and if that is the problem, I hope nursing quickly becomes pain free after :hugs:

24 oh no! are you still using your creams? I hope its not back to stay for any length of time! Hows the electric pump going? Hows Sams eye? Do you think you'll get to the BF group this week? Or the toddler sensory group?

Wild, that drink sounds yack, and taking it so often too  I hope it does the job for you! Hows the after pains now? Settling I hope hun!

Wiggler how nice the kids have settled early for you and OH :) Enjoy your steak, and enjoy your evening together!

George seems to be having poop issues again. he appears to want to go, but hasnt since before lunch time, which was 24 hours from his last one! He isnt fussing too much, he doesnt seem in pain just the usual moans and pushing, but its so not like him to go so long without pooping. Ive got HV tomorrow, and he is 6 weeks so I have my GP check sometime this week also, so if this continues I got plenty of people to ask :) His rash has really cleared up, his skin is sooooooo gorgeous now, and you can see his peachy cheeks :cloud9: he has such a lovely skin tone, just like his big brother :)

We've had two small yellow poops today. :happydance: So hopefully it's only a dairy intolerance and not soy too. He's still having tummy pains but hopefully in another 2 weeks when the proteins are completely out of his tummy he will feel better.

Lisa- Hope they can figure out if it's a tongue tie Wednesday. I hear getting it clipped can make a world of difference.

Boo for you poor ladies having back door issues.

New- My doctor gave me an info sheet on baby poop that said after one month of age exclusively breastfed babies may not poop for up to a week.

Pump is amazing, and so fast!! :D

Creaming the back door and taking fybogel. :(

Sam's eye is better. :D

Baby breastfeeding group tomorrow. :) Baby play on friday.

One handed typing with my new pump. ;) xx

Oh thanks lucky. We actually had a large poop before falling asleep. No pain, no pushing maybe he just going less and Im the only one fussing about it, he really doesnt seem bothered lol

24 thats fantastic news! How much is the pump getting out? So glad Sam is feeling so much better, hope the groups go well this week :)

2ox per time, and now I have time to keep pumping after I'm empty as it just takes a couple of minutes to do so. :D xx

Nice one hun, that'll help ypur supply no end :)

perserveering with George on my soft side seems to be helping, I produce milk for almost 10 minutes now for him, still not enough and he has to move to the other side, but way better than it was it really seemed to disappear somewhere lol

Glad its slowly building up again new. :D xx

Aww wild sorry you have a sore bum too, hope the sachets work soon!

Yeah I was told upto a week between poops is normal.

Managed to collect Anjas poop to take to the lab, she's getting blood taken too. Also managed to sort through every item of clothing in the house:happydance:
