Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Just wait...I'm about to post a link of a 2 minute clip of her usual hour-long fits when it comes to supper. Prepare your ear muffs. You'll need them. This happens at least once a day, up to three times a day and lasts up to an hour.

Enjoy!

he knows he's in the bad books for lack of burger:haha: Thanks new, all 3 of my girls have these very blue eyes, Ruaridh has green like mine

awww brandi bless her, mealtimes could be worse! lol least she took the food from you despite being upset about it! I guess carrots are not her thing hehe

The problem is, she WILL eat, if we feed her, but she's perfectly capable of feeding herself, and she LOVES carrots. She does this at nearly every meal no matter what we give her! Today, she LOVED peanut butter on toast and ate it all without a problem, but yesterday, we fought with her for an hour and a half to have even ONE bite. These fights usually happen around lunch or supper time, with the occasional battle in the morning. But these battles, and right before this video, it was an all out screaming and hitting match, tears streaming down her face, gagging on small bites and pushing the bowl away downright refusing to feed herself, but when we go to feed her, she'll open her mouth, but keep crying, so I don't know if it's hurting her to eat, or if this is a typical developmental phase of a "2.5 year old", or what's going on, but we're really getting concerned now. This happens at least once a day, but as many as three.

she didnt look in pain hun, just tired maybe  lots of kids go through feeding issues at one point or another i dont think id be concerned :hugs:

Well, she won't drink either and hasn't gained ANY weight in almost 3 years, and this totally isn't like her, so we'll be calling doctors tomorrow to try and get to the bottom of it

Its normal for them to take more when you feed them, I dont know hun she doesnt seem in pain, I'd say tired? Some kids are fussier than others when it comes to what they like and that can change over even 5 minutes lol. Best get her looked at though incase its something else. Hope its ok!:hugs:

Hubby broke the laptop cord and left me computerless all day (BAD BAD hubby has now been banned from my laptop!) and of course if was on a day you all go on for 15 pages! :dohh:

Ummmmmmmm trying to remember, I didn't take notes...

Brandi- Sorry the eating time is an issue :hugs: maybe give her extra at breakfast and not sweat it so much the rest of the day?

Mummy- what a brave girl!

Ermmm

The girls soft spots are about 2 finger tips, and NO clue what size shoe they wear

Kindergarten starts at age 5 here, or you can start when you're 4 if you turn 5 before the 1st of December= but we have pre-school, too, if you choos to send your kid and that is usually from 3-5- also daycare/nursery before that. I will be getting the girls on the waiting list for the co-op preschool I want them at this month, so that they can start when they're 3 1/3

Yes, you have to give husbands away and pay to have the kids taken away. And the older they are, the more you pay. At this point it would cost me a small fortune to get someone to take Bethy! But if someone wants hubby, they are welcome to him toDAY! Just keep him away from your laptop :growlmad:

The house is lovely :D I love looking at housing- I look here with pipe dreams of someday buying a house, but I look at them all over the place just as a hobby and a daydream- I've even looked at a share over there

Homemade icecream is THE BEST- I like vanilla bean with fresh peaches added in :cloud9:

Babas are good today- Rochelle fed herself lunch completely- cubes of roasted squash, banana and then some cheerios!

As for :sex:, yeah, I don't think so! That would involve SOME kind of romance :serenade: or at the very least a drink or two :drunk: but the general attitude in this house has been parenting together/hanging out sometimes/sleeping separate/ignore the rest :ignore: I just don't get it, we used to be so loving and happy :sad2:

Go Elle:happydance: Sorry hun about the lack of romance:hugs: As the girls get older you'll have more of a chance to get some quality time with your hubby. Bad hubby breaking the pooter though:growlmad:

 Have you ever seen Clerks 2? Pooter is a vagina

We have another "date" planned for Wednesday and I plan on talking to him about a lot of things- lack of romance being just one  I honestly think he has been having a hard time transitioning into seeing me as the mother of his children AND his wife/lover, etc. I know a lot of men have issues with this and need time to adjust. And I have been stressed and hormonal and he bugs me :dohh:

mummy- yup, they start special ed pre-school at 3. and he'll be 3 in october.still most of the year away, but still scary to know that it's gonna happen this year! but it'll be good for him  you guys start school in July?? ours starts end of Aug or beginning of Sep, depending on which city you live in. our cut off birthday i believed was mid October. not exactly sure anymore  hope Anja feels better :hugs:

harvey- from sounds of it, Aaron will be the size of Milo :)

inge- :hugs: hope you can get our implant out soon. i hated bleeding for a long period of time like that!

wud- the house looks nice!i dont believe we'll ever buy a house, but rather than rent forever. i dont think buying is ideal nowadays :nope:

heyy- way to go Rochelle! Ava has just now started putting snack puffs up to her mouth. but she misses half the time :haha:

shoe size, i've put on a size 2 for Ava and it seems very loose still. i'm sure she'd fit into a size 1 if she wore shoes. Milo is between 7 and 8 (so his shoes are 8). size 3s were too small by the time he was this age :dohh: he has chubby feet. lol. (american size, of course.)
milo has been much better today. Thomas took Ava over to the in-laws with him for an hour and a half. left me with Milo and we watched a movie together :cloud9: other than than that, pretty lazy day since Thomas goes back to work tomorrow. we'll find out if he gets switched to first shift, stays on 2nd with reduced hours, or gets laid off! :argh:

Milos- Oh no! Laid off is no good! If that happens will relocating be happening sooner? You know, California is really pretty :flower:

heyy- hope you guys have the conversation you guys need to have :hugs: i know that's something that not even just men deal with! i have a hard time seeing myself as a lover and not just mother
being laid off wouldn't make us move any sooner :nope: i've been to california before, and i loved it! but not sure if i could take the earthquakes and all that.

The earthquakes really aren't that bad or that often- it's the cost of living that will shake you up! :haha:

:dohh: omg I knew work were being too accomodating before Christmas!!! i contacted them in October to discuss whether or not it was going to be possible for me to return to work. I then contacted them in November to arrange a back to work meeting, and then contacted them in December to do all the official paperwork stuff - in all of these meetings they have been very accomodating, told me not to worry etc etc etc At the last meeting just before Christmas she said I was going back on a shadow basis (trainee basis) and I didnt argue just agreed, and she said all the details would be in the post the week before Christmas. Noting arrived so I rang them, she said they were running late doing the rota's so they'd post them to me no worries. I expected to return home to them yesterday, but nope, so I just rang again this morning. This was the conversation;

me: Hiya carolyn just ringing as I havent received any rota's or anything in the post and Im due back tomorrow.
C: tomorrow?
me: yes, well from the 2nd Jan so effectively Im back already but my first shift will be tomorrow as we agreed weds, thurs and fri's
C: did we not say you'd come back in to see me and I would arrange you something
me: no, you said you'd done the rota's late but they'd be int he post on time
C: Oh right, I havent sorted out what days you are doing yet
me: Ive already signed the nursery contracts, I can only work the days we agreed in my back to work meeting
C: what days were those?
me: weds, thurs and fri mornings
C: oh right, I havent sorted you any work yet, I'll give you a ring when I have sorted something
me: ok, well I should be home all day or you have my mobile
C: yeah no problem, I'll have a look see what I can do

now, this is how I remember my work being before I left!!!!!!! ffs :dohh:

Milos, October will soon come around hun. The school will be so good for him!

Heyy Im so sorry you are not getting romance from DH but you are right that it is a big change. I hope he is as open with you when you get to talk. Way to go Elle on feeding herself  was it with a spoon or hands?

Joshua is in school, yay! lol Now I need to find this house! lol Its burried under 'stuff' again! lol

Is anyone elses baby sleeping worse than usual? He won't settle without dummy which he never needs and is waking mutiple times in the night, sometimes for food, sometimes just crying! I'm so tired :(

Yup meow, George has been doing it for weeks, since I was in hospital, then of course he got unwell so I think here its just completely turned his routine upside down. He fed 7-8 times last night :dohh: but the same sometimes he just wants a cuddle. Usually wakes up at 10pm, then its a battle all night!
