Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

So last night was fun, I bought a tubigrip thing for my knee yesterday and put it on, I wok up in the night and it was so tight where my knee was more swollen I was in agony, OH had to cut it off and it took him ages cos it was so tight

Dylan has been up and tantruming since 5, nothing we do is calming him down, he isn't happy that I am not giving into his demands, he isn't having breakfast until 6.15am cos its still bedtime, he woke Bethany up and she has been really upset too

Probably telling you to suck eggs:shrug:But have you tried saying to him 'when you want to be a good boy then come and join us having fun playing, until then you stay where you are' then I'd carry on playing with bethany without looking at him and if he joins you I'd say 'ooh dylans come to join us having fun' then carry on playing.

I know with my SD the more I spoke to her (coaxing) the longer it would take her to snap out of her mood. It worked for me.:flower:

I agree about not talking to them when trying to get them out of a mood. OH has perfected this but I still think "should I keep trying?" Last week ss was tlaking to Leo at 11pm instead of slepeing which made Leo cry for attention, I shouted in that "if you talk to him, he wont sleep and he'll cry"
ss carried on and OH just said to let him learn himself. Few mintues late he caught on and ignored Leo and Leo slept peacefully

Oh my god, I NEED sleep. Anberlin had a rough time going to sleep last night and didn't go to sleep until 11pm (usually 8:30 or 9pm) and woke up at 2:30am. Ten minutes later, Isaiah followed. He came BOLTING out of his bedroom and quickly slammed our door shut and started crying, but he wouldn't tell us what was wrong. 15 minutes later, Mike went to lay down with him until he fell asleep.

I, on the other hand, took the Anberlin shift. She was boobed, which usually gets her back to sleep right away. Last night though, she wanted to kick me, clap, scream, sing, and then for the last 20 minutes before she went to sleep, ROLL OVER! :dohh:

I'd keep her beside me but push her away a bit so she'd stop kicking me, and she'd roll onto her belly to get closer to me, kick me, and then laugh about it. This was consistent for about 10 minutes before I finally cuddled her to sleep.

7:00am, Zoe came into the bedroom, 7:23am and all kids, including myself, are awake. Mike's still laying in bed. Off to do the breakfast and school runs!

We had a rough night here, too
Girls went down at 7- and started in with the alternate wakings at 8:30 :nope:

WAAAAAAY TMI re: :witch:
I have been having increasingly difficult periods since the girls were born, and had bad cramping when I started yesterday- then at 4 o'clock this morning woke up in a pool of blood. :nope:  this is NOT normal and I am now (At 5:20) am contemplating either calling the doctor when they get in in 3 1/2 hours or going to the ER sooner if it doesn't slow down

If it was me id phone dr and ask for advice. that much bleeding isnt normal so maybe ER would be an idea as drs can take a while to see you :flower:

I'd call the doctor, heyy. Periods are supposed to change when you have a tubal (mine DEFINITELY have, and it's not just the normal trying to sort itself out), but I don't believe you should have that much blood.

Harvey he's absolutely beautiful:cloud9: :hugs:

Heyy, get yourself to urgent care:hugs: Hun have you always had heavy periods or is it a new thing? There's things they can give you to stop the bleeding but if its that heavy you'll need to check you're not got anemia as well. Glad you got a chance to clean:flower:

Hi Rmar, please come join us:kiss:

Brandi sounds like a hectic morning!! Yay for rolling:happydance:

Wiggler, another idea, when Ruaridh is up to something he's not meant to be doing eg making too much noise we tell him whats wrong then do the 54321 count down. Hes always quiet by the end. There's brilliant advice already given but this might be worth a shot too:hugs: Sorry about your knee hun :(

Freja was up voiting last night so shes off school, means cant take Eilidh to her appointment lol. Eilidhs a bit better today:thumbup:

i've seen Rmar stalking a few times

mummy- i was thinking of you while waiting this morning. and i was reminding myself to ask how you were yesterday :hugs:

harvey- aww. poor Aaron. they only did a heal prick to test Ava's glucose

we're back from Ava's xray. it was so terrible! the fasting was hard enough. she screamed her head off the whole ride to the hospital. she was fine waiting. then when it was time to strap her down, it was hell! they strapped down her legs/knees, arms and chest. she was crying so hard and didn't wanna drink the barium. glad its finally over with! they said it would take a couple days for her doctor to get the results.

I bet your glad that's over, it sounds horrendous for both of you:flower:

Aarons temperature was low after birth so they automatically check his glucose which he couldn't control either, so he had to be put on a heat mat and be fed continuously through a tube, when he got that under control he developed problems with his oxygen in he blood going too low:dohh: after 12 days we escaped and he has been great ever since, but git a go back next month for a check up with his special care doc!

Milos:hugs: That sounds so hard :( I'm glad its over with now hun:hugs: Its worse when you cant explain what needs to be done. I hope you get answers hun, what would be the next step?

I've rearranged Eilidhs visit to the 23rd. Glad I dont have to go today, didnt really want to listen to the whole, you dont feed your baby crap:dohh:

Meow:baby: Go for it!!

I'd definitely get checked out heyy, those babies need a healthy mummy:winkwink::hugs:

milos :hugs: sorry it was so hard, but glad its done and hope the results are conclusive!

George is holding a ball on his nose :shrug; he has been sat like that for a few minutes now :haha:

Erm where was I... yes counting works well here.. I only ever got to 3 once (I do 1.2.3) wow did he push me lol normally I only have to say 1 and its delat with (though you have to explain why you are counting and what you expect them to do as mummy says). Also dont shout, you want him to sshhhhh so he see's ypou shouting and he wont be clear what the appropriate volume is. Get to his level and talk to him, if he is screaming and not willing to listen give him time out, tell him you will be back in 2 minutes and then he has to listen or he'll go back in time out. Wait the full 2 minutes then try again. If he gets up from his time out (step/chair/sofa etc) then dont speak with him just lift him put him back and walk away, if he does it 3 times then tell him the 2 minutes is going to start again, and he is to stay there and calm down, then walk away. The less communication the better!

:hi: Rmar Hope you are keeping well!

Brandi sounds like a hetic morning, although by 7.23 Id already been up, 2 kids and us ready, washing airer, new load in, lunches made and on route to nursery :haha: Thank gawd Im off until Wednesday now lol

Heyy I hope you are ok hun, I would get to ER hun that much bleeding can leave you really weak and unwell and then you really are heading to problems!

Had ANOTHER crappy day at work grrrrr Im not settling back in at all!

New- pic of George & his ball needed lol
Your work sounds bad!

Meow- go for it:baby:

Had a little chat with hubby before he went to work at lunchtime about maybe having another baby n he said he's happy with Aaron n thinks he's too old for another and doesn't want to go through hell again for a second baby. I said I'm happy with Aaron too but if the man upstairs gives us another miracle then so be it, he ended it saying 'we'l see how it goes  what the hell does that mean:dohh: men!

:dohh: men indeed!!! Im glad you both want the same thing hun!

Sorry didnt get a phot of his ball, will do if he does it again, I was typing and on the ohone to idiot washing machine repair peoples lol

oh Joshua is here, going to get him to baby sit so I can go for a bath before I fall asleep lol

Thanks for all the concern- things have slowed down significantly and I have a call in to my Dr. They have been getting progressively worse since my tubal. And I'm already anemic. After the girls were born my anemia was so bad they kept threatening me with a transfusion! :nope:

New- sorry you're having a time a work

Harvey- Some men you just have to clobber the answer out of :grr: :haha:

Milos- Awww, poor Ava! Sorry to hear her x-rays were hard on her  Poor lamb- I hate it when we cant explain to them

Wiggler- Hang in there, Mama! Remember, you're the boss! Don't let yourself get too frustrated, staying calm is key ](*,)

Ps- the girls have been AMAZING this morning (Knock on wood! ) and playing beautify on the floor together- I've gotten 2 loads of laundry donw, been on here and FB, sorted out dinner, started lunch for us (Their first curry!!!! :happydance: ) and looked up a new hat pattern I'm going to try making for them later! And it's just now 8:45 AM! :happydance::thumbup::happydance::thumbup:

Hope it gets sorted heyy:hugs: You need all the energy you can get! Let us know how they get on with curry

Harvey, maybe come off the contraception and leave it up to your hubby, that way he has no choice but to make a decision?!:haha: Hope you get another miracle:hugs:

New:hugs: Your work sounds like a nightmare hun:(

Making a pancake recipe for babies- oatmeal pancake mix with added baby oatmeal cereal, 2 jars of sweet potatoes, milk, egg yolks, and nutmeg- they're delicious! I did, however make up a TON of batter experimenting to find one that worked, so will be freezing, oh, 100 or so baby sized pancakes :dohh:
