Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

He's eventually going to do something called CNC programming. There's a HUGE demand for it, but before he does, he has to get a Machine Tool Operator certificate, so he'll be in school for the next year for that, and then will get into a CNC Operator apprenticeship.

Oh! Mummy, if you like lentils, try this recipe. OMG SO FREAKING YUMMY!!!

1 pound lean ground beef
1 small bag dry lentils, soak for 24 hours prior to cooking
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste
2 cubes beef bouillon cube
6 cups tomato-vegetable juice cocktail (V8)
1 dash Worcestershire sauce

Directions
Brown beef; break meat into small pieces while cooking. Drain.
Place meat in a big pot with lid. Add lentils, vegetables, water, salt, pepper, bouillon, vegetable juice, mushrooms, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook on high until it boils. Reduce heat to low, and cover. Simmer for 2 hours, or until lentils are tender. Stir occasionally (every 20-30 minutes).

You'll go back to this again and again!

Sounds really good Brandi- I'll have to try that!

I have been CRAVING pot roast- so monday (payday and the hopeful end to this bullshitbrokeashell week) I'm buying a BIG roast and a bag of baby red potatoes- can't wait!

Dang. Now I'm starving

Milos they're adorable! Milo was trying so hard bless him:cloud9:

Brandi, my DH did CNC programming alongside his engineering at his first job:thumbup: Theres definately work there! Lol hubby has been on at me that he wants to buy his own CNC machine so they're mentioned alot here:haha: Good luck to Mike:flower: That recipe sounds yummy, I love mince, will have to try it!

 omg, is that what Mince is??? ground beef??? You have NO IDEA what I pictured in my head!

How do you make your potatoes, heyy? We do Balsamic Roasted Baby Potatoes and Carrots. It goes really well with our pot roast (slow-cooked in 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, one pack of dry onion soup mix, and 1 1/4 cup water. Makes it's own gravy with 5 1/2 pounds of a roast. I usually double the recipe)

Broiled with olive oil and rosemary- or face down in sea salt- or steamed with whole cloves of garlic (Still in the papers- then you can "pop" a clove of garlic onto bread!)

both the kids are lurgied up, both have woken up about 4 times each during the night and both have been screaming their heads off all freaking morning. I would appear that I have caught the lurgy too, so I am not feeling particuarly great.

:( oh no wiggler hope you all lurgy free quickly!! Welcome to the wonderful world of nursery! lol Give it a year and all your immune systems will be so tight you'll be lurgy free!

Heyy I eat urmmmm urmmmmm bit of pasta, potatoes. I dont like 'wet food' like casseroles/curries or meats with crap on, i onlt like tomato sauce on pasta no creamy crap lol I dont like meat, but will eat it, I had my 2nd ever piece of steak last week - OH cooked both of them lol I will eat bits of chicken but with veg and potatoes not in any weird recipe! I do like lamb! Im not really keen on bread, but I dont mind it white or wholegrain when I do eat it. I like beans (the tinned variety lol) I like very simple food, bland, lol I do like haribo's too  Im trying to wean myself off them lol

Milos your 2 are just adorable :cloud9:

Heyy hope the girls slept well all night :hugs:

Time for me to get ready - I wasnt going to log on this morning so I could get some jobs done before going out lol, woops, now I'll be lucky if Im ready on time at all lol

hugs to all the ill people and babies!
Im off out in a mo cos OHs brake light doesnt work so I have to go to the garage to get a part in for it. Leos just dropped off to sleep so will wait a while

bethany is OK, just a bit snotty but not too upset with it, Dylan is very upset, he always is when he's ill. we have been having lots of snuggles on the sofa, watching train stuff on the laptop and that kept him calm, but when it was time to turn the trains off he got really upset, that kid loves trains so much, OH is taking him out to watch some trains later.

OH has been fab today, not with the kids much but he has done loads of tidying and stuff, while I look after the kids, its brilliant.

hehe... George fell asleep while feeding earlier (about when I was on here typing) and Joshua's friend came round asked if he could go to his house, so out Joshua went, I put George in his moses basket, snuggled him up and then rested my eyes too :haha: I woke up by Joshua coming through the frint door, followed by George waking up when he came crashing through the lounge door! Now didnt get much housework done but I feel amazingly human lol and George is in a fab mood too - not that he's ever in a bad mood really but he just overly in a good mood lol

He has mastered backwards, sidewards and turning on his new ride on toy - only forwards to go :haha:

New- can't believe George is sitting/riding on a ride on toy! I thought they had to be able to stand or toddle:shrug:

Aaron is saying mum mum mum today:happydance: if I look his way when hubby has him he keep putting his arms out saying mum mum mum:blush: hubby a bit jealous:blush:

Aaron slept from 8pm till 8.30am this morning:shrug::happydance: I really hope this continues:winkwink:

I'll read back and catch up!

Well I wasnt sure tbh harvey... after I put him on it and i was keeping all the bits of cardboard etc in the box I read the box that said babys first walker to aid with those first steps THEN turns into toddlers first ride on toy :dohh: but George likes sitting on it and riding so I dont see the harm  I dont leave him unsupervised, and he has awesome balance, and is quickly mastering getting around on it lol Although that said, the monkey just got to his moses basket and pulled all the covers out :dohh: kids huh!

Aaron had an awesome sleep hun  hope that continues for you and :cloud9: he said mum mum mum thats soooo cute!! I ask George to say muma and he gives me a kiss lolol I ask him to say dada and he laughs  OH thinks its unfair ha ha ha

New-if you don't eat meat, and you don't like grains (Grains mixed with legumes make a protein) and if memory serves you don't drink milk (or was that just a pregnant thing? ) Where do you get your protein from??

Wiggler- Sorry you all have the ick :hugs:

Inge- hoping you are just picking up the replacement bulb and can swap it yourselves- it's outrageous how much garages charge for something like that! :dohh:

So, Babas slept until midnight, had a big bottle, then seemed like they were up for the day- I walked out of the room and shut the door- they laied in there and talked to each other for about 20 minutes and then went back out until 4:25! That is normal waking time! So, with the exception of their little midnight rendezvous, it was a normal night, just with a 5PM bedtime! :happydance:

Hubby is already working on irritating me this morning. He put my tea box on the top shelf, and when I asked him to fetch it for me, he got me ONE tea bag- ummmmm, first off, I use two. Second, I don't have ape arms and CAN NOT reach every blessed corner of the house! :haha: Seriously though, he bugs me. Poor guy can't do anything right this week- he keeps trying to hug me (We had a MASSIVE blow out several days ago that he is still kissing up for) problem is he only wants to hug me when I'm up doing something and in the middle of things :dohh: He can't seem to get it though that all he's managing is irritating me that I have to stop what I'm doing because there is a 307 pound MOUNTAIN in my way! Look, dude, when I said show your appreciation to me more for all the things I do, I DID NOT mean WHILE I'm doing them! :dohh:

they have to order it in for tuesday but OH needs to drive tomorow so is going to phone around in the morning to see if anyone can get hold of one before lunchtime :dohh: Hes supposed to pick his son up from school and we know his mum is going to make a big deal out of it even though he OH cant drive if his brake lights dont work:dohh: I mean would she rather we all have an accident? :nope:
Anyway... Leos not happy. Hes got a cough and isnt napping during the days properly. He'll have maybe 10 mins sleep then wake til evening, then wake again about 10pm. His gums are hurting too, only thing thats helping is to give him toast or a hard biscuit to bite

Ooh I'm gona get Aaron his 3 in 1 thing I've been looking at (ride on, walker & scooter) but I had thought it would be for his birthday lol

Up until yesterday Aaron just laughed at me every time I asked him to say mama or dada:winkwink: he'll kiss the baba in the mirror but not us:dohh:

George has found an easier way to get around without much effort:winkwink::haha:

I love the babas kissing the mirrors :cloud9: The girls could care less about the baby in the mirror- I guess because they see one every day in each other?

Three teeth have cut over night. :yipee:
Off to catch up now. xx

Heyy - what other things have protein in??? I dont drink milk no lol

The girls slept great, oh begs the question if they went to bed at their normal hour if they'd have slept in longer :happydance: Men sometimes just dont get it huh! least he's trying hun :hugs:

Inge sorry Leo is poorly, hope he feels better soon! What a pain with the car! I hate cars! there is always something grrr mine wants taxing this month :(

harvey, yeah get it out :) This one says from 9months, so he's only a bit early on it lol And he defintely making the most of an easy way to get around, lazy baby!! I wont be letting him get away with it though rofl he'll still be getting plenty of tummy time, not that he cares lol

I think I need to move George onto size 4 nappies lol we keep having some serious poopy up the back incidents  Im thinking its because the size 3 may be a little short in length??? They fasten at the middle so they no way too small for him

Joshua is putting on a puppet show for george - george is sat looking very baffled

Okies, I really need to go get some groceries or we'll not be eating tonight lol I did make a start on the housework, I found the kitchen :haha: Im also TRYING to do some laundry but my machine is still not working grrrr
