Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Sam doesn't roll front to back, not sure if I said that already. xx

I know that I SHOULDN`T worry about it, but already having a special needs child makes it harder not to.

awww really want to see 'war horse' and will defo sob! lol

george cant roll, never mind inconsistantly ha ha, he doesnt mimick steps, he isnt mobile, he doesnt move in any direction on the floor, he has just learnt to turn round lying/sitting, yes he can sit up, and yes he has the minor motor skills. I really dont think you have anything to worry about, she sits well, has great vocab, she is mobile she is doing really well for 8mths!

Brandi :hugs: I know how worried you must be, but with all the stuff Anberlin CAN do then I'm sure there isn't a problem, all your viddies show a gorgeous very capable bubba.

OMG. OH just went into deal with Bethany cos she woke up crying again, and he is SINGING to her!!!! He never does that, its so quiet I can barely hear, but this is such a positive step for him! :happydance: He was dealing with her earlier and she was so upset and he wasnt even talking to her to try and calm her down and I may have had a go :blush: but it worked!!!!!

What age should we worry if they aren't meeting these things:shrug:

I might ask hv tomorrow when I get Aaron weighed! Any more guesses he was 22lbs 4 ozs 4 weeks ago!

Have you considered he may feel self conscious when your there:shrug:

some babies will never do some of the things! I think you only need to worry if they are missing ALL these things but at 8mths its still mega early! By 6-8 months they should have good head control and be alert and follow your gaze etc... my HV said said she'd like to see george rolling, but he isnt lol she will happily accept he is sitting and alert and she is slightly happier he is turning to face alternative directions even though he isnt moving anywhere lol

Between 12 and 18 months. Usually around 18. That's when we really noticed Zoe was behind and we sought an autism diagnosis, only to find out she has microcephaly and all her other medical issues, which are causing her developmental delays.

This is 9 month Social/Emotional/Physical development for 9 month old- This is what MOST babies are doing at this age. (please keep in mind ALL developmental charts are for the END of that month/social period. ie: 9 months means the END of the 9th month)

Social and Emotional

* May be afraid of strangers
* May be clingy with familiar adults
* Has favorite toys

Language/Communication

* Understands “no”
* Makes a lot of different sounds like “mamamama” and “bababababa”
* Copies sounds and gestures of others
* Uses fingers to point at things

Cognitive (learning, thinking, problem-solving)

* Watches the path of something as it falls
* Looks for things he sees you hide
* Plays peek-a-boo
* Puts things in her mouth
* Moves things smoothly from one hand to the other
* Picks up things like cereal o’s between thumb and index finger

Movement/Physical Development

* Stands, holding on
* Can get into sitting position
* Sits without support
* Pulls to stand
* Crawls

***************************************
Talk to your doctor if:
# Doesn’t bear weight on legs with support
# Doesn’t sit with help
# Doesn’t babble (“mama”, “baba”, “dada”)
# Doesn’t play any games involving back-and-forth play
# Doesn’t respond to own name
# Doesn’t seem to recognize familiar people
# Doesn’t look where you point
# Doesn’t transfer toys from one hand to the other

Bethany doesn't do those things, but I'm not worried, every bubba learns at their own pace

Wiggler- Yes- addresses! Private message me your address and I am compiling a list to private message back out of them all together so that we can all send birthday cards out as birthdays are coming up QUICK :wacko: Eilidh's is in, what, a month and a half ish?

I can't believe Eilidh is going to be 1 soon, mummy what do you have planned for her birthday?

Sam doesn't babble or play moving toys back and fourth x

Dont remind me:argh: My baby cant be one soon?!

Heyy, I wil pm you later when hubbys back *must not forget:dohh:* Planned for birthday is a party in the new house:happydance: All invited:kiss:

Wiggler, lovely to hear he was singing:cloud9:

Heyy, I tried to make nachos and failed lol do you have a recipe I can have pretty please:flower:

Brandi its hard not to worry if you have a special needs child but Anberlins doing very well hun:hugs: Have to say from experience if you got a butt shuffler they're not going to go to the crawl postion! I really though Anberlin was pretty ahead:shrug:

How many babies still have the reflexes now?

Arg! Don't you love it whan you type out a big long response and the damn site EATS IT? :growlmad:

Chicken Nachos
squeeze lime juice over chicken- toss rinds intot he cavety- sprinkle with chili powder and paprika - roast in oven at 450 for about 45-50 minutes (3-4 pound bird) Let cool a bit, shred up- Turn oven down to 300 when you take the bird out
OR
Buy a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store LOL

Black Beans
Chopped garlic, salt and cumin in witht he beans while they cook- then when they're 3/4 done add small diced onion
OR
1 Can black beans, rinsed- add cumin garlic (or garlic powder)

FINE shredded cheese- lots!

a small can of chopped olives (ORRRRR- buy a large can of whole black olives, which is cheaper- and toss them in the blender/food processor!)

Tortilla chips- duh

Salsa/hotsauce/chopped tomatoes

Sour Cream mixed with packaged taco seasoning

Cover a baking sheet with foil- assemble nachos in layers on the chips- adding cheese every couple layers as binder- EXCEPT THE TOMATOES AND SOUR CREAM!, that's last

Put in oven at 300 for about 15-20 minutes until melty and gooey

Wiggler- you have nothing to worry about with Bethany- those are warning signs for the END of the ninth month!

Harvey- yes, I got your address- have Brandi's and New's and now Wiggler....

Wow! Thankyou soooooo much heyy!!:flower: Going to go shopping tomorrow now to try round 2 of making nachos:happydance:

:blush: I'll get mine to you asap! he's not back for about another hour.

How're you feeling now hun? Hope you got a rest!

Sort of- I told hubby to let me sleep for a couple hours- so two hours ON THE DOT later he woke me up- of course it had taken me nearly 1/2 hour to fall asleep :wacko: His time obsession drives me bonkers! I need to just accept the fact that my husband is a neurotic mess and a clock watcher and then tell him to leave me the hell out of it! :haha:

:rofl: Oh man that would annoy the crap outta me! You'll find it harder to fall asleep knowing he's watching the clock:dohh:

And I am SOOOO not a clock watcher- When I make commitments to people-" I say We'll be there around 1" or whatever- he says "Ok, expect us at one" And will just about PUSH me out the damn door, that we HAVE to be there AT 1! - He used to circle if we were early :dohh:
