Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Pelvis is really bad, but I did loads and loads of walking from 8am-2pm so its expected.

I think the move will take a long time to happen, but our plan always was to get everything in motion as soon as we could anyway, living in a poorly built flat on the second floor with 2 young kids and a dodgy pelvis was never my first option, but its a roof over our head and we know as soon as Dylan starts sleeping later (if he ever does :haha:) then the complaints will stop, they have no problem with the daytime noise at all.

Have you thought anymore about doubling upon the carpet padding/underlay? I know it's a financial outlay- but just might be worth the peace! If you doubled the underlay- then carpet- then put a room rug over it. maybe?
Every morning my rug rats start in with the squealing (Like at 2:30 this morning. Brats. :haha: ) I am so grateful that the place under us is setting empty still!

Heyy I could chose to move homes of course :) I cant afford to buy my own place, I need to rent, and currently rent in the private sector so I can move as and when so long I stick to the terms in my contract. Thing is that means finding new bonds (until the bonds from this place get freed up) plus rent up front, AND most importantly here I am secure, I know my landlord, I know his financial circumstance and the house is pretty much safe as safe can be, if I moved to another landlord and they have a mortgage on the property and run into financial difficulty (like many atm) then I run the real risk of losing my house and bond and everything! So I have been putting off moving, I never applied for council property because I firstly dont want to live on the local council estate (sorry if thats snobbery!) and also I have adequate housing so would get no where with them. However due to the conditions of this house not meeting the medical needs for Joshua's para/neuro-myotonia and enuresis the doctor thinks she can write a letter to the housing association in the area and get us a house quicker than waiting on the bottom of a waiting list (she also going to include I have a baby in a bedroom with NO heating so that Joshua can have the slighter warmer room with his medical complaints!) ... might not work but definitely worth a try, the HA houses are lovely round here, in quieter areas than the estates and the rent is cheaper than private

Urrmmmmmmm thats frazzled my brain now I forgot what else I read lol.... oh I saw gorgeous pictures of your girlies Heyy :cloud9: They are doing amazing, yay for baba and toothies :) and standing too!! Definitely get the cot lowered hehe

Hope everyone is well, George is napping, Im going to get some lunch, and a drink i got headache :dohh:

We thought of doubling up, but it would mean buying new doors as we would need to cut so much off that they would no longer be fire-safe and we just cant afford to replace them

I wasn't aware Joshua had these issues- I know what paraneoplastic issues can be, but am unfamiliar with the term myotonia?? Does he have many of the neurological effects?

Its undecided if it is para myotonia or neuro myotonia, although the most recent result suggest neuro myotonia, he currently has what a dr would deem 'early symptoms' but they are progressing quickly, its an inhereditory condition, I only have mild symptoms, my brother severe symptoms, my little sister has bad symptoms and my mother on parr with my sister - however no one in the family developed symptoms until their early 20s, for me was even later, but Joshua is 8 and his symptoms are almost on parr with my sisters... he has pains in his lower limbs often cant weight bare, but he in the last few months has started with pins and needles in his hands/wrist and more recently keeps losing sensations in his hands and drops things or gets pain if using his hands too long. All his symptoms are dramatically worsened by the cold, and its been medically proven that the cold exagerates the symptoms, so my Dr hopes that with her support we'll get a better heated house, I can not begin to explain how cold this house gets, Single glazed windows, only have 2 fitted heaters in the house which are economy 7 storage heaters so I cant control the heat in the evenings to make it warmer for him. Plus he has nocturnal enuresis, so the wetness in a cold room against his legs = pain and nooo sleep for either of us! He's really good though he just gets on with it, we were told we would get benefits for him but I never claimed them because Im too proud I guess, now they arent available because the government are clamping dfown, but I wont turn down the opportunity to move that will directly benefit both the boys, because its very likely George will develop the same eventually, Joshua was under 2yrs when his symptoms started :(

New- I had no idea of your familys medical problem:hugs:

Heyy- let's hope the twins realise night from day soon and start sleeping longer for you :hugs: what did you buy with hubby's pay check?

24/7- casserole is yummy

Wiggler- can you not get some physiotherapy for your pelvis?:hugs:

Mummy- what's your plans for today:coffee::shrug:

Well I had MIL here this morning, and the first thing out of her gob was 'he shouldn't be sitting sideways to the tv in his highchair' I tried explaining I can't move it any more and she told me i could, so I explained again his play pen is in the way:dohh::dohh::growlmad: she makes my blood boil!

Had to go to asda for some sma as hubby got the wrong one yesterday, how can he not notice the lid is a different colour:shrug: he's had purple lid for 7 months now:shrug::dohh: MEN! So I've out the other one on gumtree as he hasn't kept the receipt:nope::shrug:

Me mam has come with spider crab legs:cloud9: I'm gona have them tomorrow:thumbup::cloud9:

Oh its no worry, we deal with it and he doesnt fuss :) - only my little sisters fusses :haha:

harvey MILs :dohh: sounds like a handful lol

Im getting passed pillar to post here grrr.... I just found out if I didnt work I could have full GCH fitted throughout the house for free, and maybe double glazing, because i work I cant :dohh: If I had made the phone call 3 weeks ago before I went back to work i would have qualified, but now because I get the TC childcare element it takes my earnings up over the qualifying amount, so I said, yes but I get childcare allowance, but I have to use that for childcare, its not income at all, I have to find the other 40% as well, but putting that aside, that money I get for childcare shouldnt be counted, and she said it is counted so I dont qualify for any heating improvements even though my house scored the lowest efficency grading and I am deem in fuel poverty :dohh: .... seriously there is no wonder so many people dont bother going to work and live off the state!!!

new - :hugs: and ARGH, the system gets it so wrong sometimes :(

Poor Dylan, he fell off a trike at nursery yesterday and but his lip and chin and its scabbed and he keeps getting me to kiss it better cos it hurting him :(

My mum was meant to be having the kids overnight tomorrow, but cant now cos her knee is too bad, so she is going to come over all day on Friday which is brilliant cos Dylan was heartbroken when I told him he wasn't going there tomorrow, he is so excited about Friday, we are making some cupcakes for my mum and painting her a picture tomorrow, I'm going to have 2 very mucky bubbas tomorrow, I can't wait!

Awww glad his disappointment was quickly turned round!!

I wouldnt normally claim anything I dont want money, but i am happy to accept things that will directly improve the kids quality of life but I must say I was totally annoyed by this, yet again a system f*ck up, if I claimed all the benefits i was entitled to I would get a free house make over, but because I work and support myself there is nothing there to help my kids - despite MOST of my incomings going to childcare and rent - if I was on benefits Id earn the same and have neither of these to pay so more disposable cash arghhhhhhh

BUT on a lighter note - my little man cut another tooth without me even noticing, its right the way uo must have cut it at weekend and judging by how much is through he cut it before the top 2 or at the same time, so thats 3 cut at the weekend, and 5 peggies altogether lol
