Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Hun:hugs: Special care/NICU are scary places, so sorry you had to have Aaron go there:hugs: A lot of babies do keep very quiet, 3 of my lot were noisy monsters though! Will be thinking of you on the 7th hun:hugs:

mummy- they prescribed the ranitidine. gonna start giving it to her tomorrow. i typically try to prop her up some when i'm getting her to sleep. but how she ends up later on is up to her  she's such a wiggler in her sleep and moves all over into different positions :haha: we had to answer 300 yes/no quesetions. she said those questions were basically to judge where he stood developmental age wise (which is where we got the answers of saying he was at 16.5m in general development)

you guys are lucky. i was gifted with two screamers! :dohh:

Ah I think we did a general development one for the early intervention preschool. For the one at the developmental ped where he got the autism diagnosis it was a whole lot of questions about how he reacts to certain things, his milestones, loss of milestones, eye contact and stuff like that. She did a language test on him where she compares his recognition to how he expresses that, will have to go look at his report to see what that was lol but it took a few hours altogether:sleep:

Well if you can figure out how to prop your bed that would fix the problem of her wriggling:winkwink: Anja takes ranitidine atm for her bowel, tastes rank lol, try and hide it in something if you can.

usually they just ask me those questions in conversation while they observed him. at his OT eval the therapist had me fill out a Sensory Profile. before we got an appt to get the actual diagnoses, we had an appt with a psychiatrist that asked us TONS of questions and wrote out what we said. much of like you mentioned. when did he get milestones, did he lose any, etc. after his DX we got a 7 page typed up report in the mail.

lol, thanks for the warning! i've heard other moms said they put it in with something to drink?

For Anja its in a syringe then very quickly give her something she likes to eat but she understands she has to take it and gets it over with! For the baba's I would either do the same then follow up with a breast feed or put it in their food lol but often they wouldnt fall for it:dohh: I dont know if you can put it in with formula?

Sound like similar forms, they merge after a bit! Worth it to get the right answers and the right help:thumbup:

Mummy- will have to try that curried carrot, sounds good to me!
Harvey- let me know what you want to try and I'll shoot you a recipe

Making "yellow soup" for dinner- making it up as I go :haha:

ok, so "yellow soup" ended up being
yellow split peas, creamed corn, yellow onion, garlic anju pear, mustard, butter, white pepper, mild yellow curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, chicken bullion, milk, and a squirt of yellow mustard- I know it sounds weird but it turned out amazing! Made cornbread with kerneled corn in it- and a yellow cake for desert

Sorry about the shitty families out there- too bad we don't get to pick our parentage
Bethy's "father" has never seen her- the man she calls dad was one of my BF that had been around since she was 1. Her biological family on her father's side doesn't acknowledge her existence, but at my request. He's a psycho and I want no part of him. I keep hoping to read the obituaries and see that he's died :nope:

Yellow meal you got going on there heyy, definate theme! Sounds yummy though, will have to try and make it:flower:

:hugs: Frejas dad has nothing to do with her either. Sorry Bethys is a psycho :( That sounds scary hun:hugs: Wouldnt it be brill if we could pick our own!

Eilidhs being a giant grouch. Got 3 of them to bed and working on baby.

How is it that pathetic men make such wonderful children? Or do the kids get the wonderfulness from their mothers?

Yuck yuck yuck, I feel sooo ill, Dylan and Bethany woke up at 5 and have been awful all morning. Dylan isn't going to nursery this morning, I'm not well enough to walk around for 5 hours in the cold and rain and he doesn't seem to be very well either, he woke up in the night last night and then got up at 5 this morning and has been laying on the sofa whining/tantruming just being a general misery since. Bethany got up early too, but she is back in bed now, Dylan woke her up.

Hopefully a nice relaxing day will help us all feel better. Going to watch some films later :D

Brandi - I think the kids get their wonderfulness from the mothers, I know my kiddies get their amazingness from me :smug:

Ok BnB is seriously getting on my t*ts today... what are they doing?????

WTG George, I hope he cheers up soon.

Cos of bus times and how far away the nursery is there is no way I could go there, come back then go there again in the 3 hours he is there, I would have to hang around town and the weather is shite and I can hardly move without a coughing fit.

Dylan isn't well today bless him, he looks so snotty and worn out, and is really clingy today, he isn't even constantly asking for food as always (lol I feed him loads, but its never enough :haha:) I gave him some calpol and he perked up a bit and ran around for a few minutes being a train, but he back to laying down again now with his trains now. Him waking during the night and getting up early hasn't helped either, hopefully his lurgy goes soon.

Bethany had a mammoth nap earlier and is in such a lovely mood, she is exploring. She recently figured out how to tip the toy box over so she can get to all the good stuff at the bottom :haha:

YAY GEORGE!!!!

I wish Isaiah would sleep through the night.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a thumbsucker.

WTG BETHANY WITH YOUR TOYS!!!

God I'm gonna miss the baby stage.

Think its all fixed now :)

Good timing really as Im currently stuck on the sofa with my laptop, George is asleep on the sofa and i darent move lol
