I must have a short fat baby!! Does everyone elses LO's have a big tummy in comparrhison to their waist? Sam's tummy is huge, and almost looks swollen?! The HV said its fine, and he isn't in pain it just looks like it would hurt if it was us. xx

happy weekend everyone! i cant believe how much Ava is growing. last night she had a NB size sleeper on and it fit her perfectly. and she was doing such a great job holding herself up. today she was cooing and it sounded like a cat screeching so i was doing it back and she smiled at me. melts my heart


24- i think that's normal. especially if you have them on their back. Milo's did that and so does ava's. makes them look fat. hahah

Yup, my midwife said it's normal for their bellies to look a little distended, that most, if not all newborns tend to look like kids in Africa, for lack of a better comparison.

brandi - lol! that's a sad comparison but it's true. their bellies look bloated.

i see you guys were talking about weight. i'm not 100% sure how much Ava weighs right now. about 3 weeks ago she weighed 7.4 lbs at the doctors. but 2 days ago i got on the scale, then held ava and got on the scale. there was an 8 lb 12oz difference. so i'll assume she's around there. not sure how long she is. but most people think she's younger than she is. lol

george was just under 8lbs last time he was weighed, but it was a week ago, really hoping he is at his birth weight or more this week

yay, he's almost there ava was only down 2 or 3 ounces from her birth weight when we left the hospital.

My little guy is a chunky monkey. I guess he is still considered small at 6lbs 9oz but compared to the 5lbs 13 oz he was he is growing quite fast. His brother did the same, small at birth then grew like crazy.

I think I'm going to lay out today, will be interesting to see if I can fit into any of my bikinis hahaha.

Oh we almost got bikini weather here lol Definitely no jacket weather thats a huge improvement lol

George went from 8lb 3oz to 7lb 12.5oz but then stalled the gaining thing at 7lb 14oz lol So he has what 5ozs to get back to birth weight, which he was supposed to be at last week! Little monkey! he looks healthy and has healthy nappies until today anyway so not worried about him Im sure he is eating enough

new- I tested the monitor on the highest sensitivity and DH could hear me breathing on it. I've got it on the mode where it's set off by a certain level of noise but it can be put onto constant noise so you possibly would be able to hear George. I woulld try it out but i don't know how to get it onto that setting lol. Could you not buy it from your friends shop and then take it back if it's rubbish?

24- Josh has a swollen belly too. He looks like a toad with his little frogs legs!

lol.. they dont have the angel care one! Its not too bad because I'll get my money back, then I can buy something from else where, try it and then return if necessary lol he's asleep downstairs for now, until I get something sorted lol I just got to decide now, risk moving him when Im ready to go up, or stay up until he is ready for a feed lol

I think they all have tubby bellys and tiny waists lol They even themselves out eventually lol

Anberlin was 8lbs 1oz at birth, down to 7lbs 8oz at 3 days old, and she was 8lbs 13oz yesterday. She looks so big, especially compared to my other two who were only six pounders at birth, and she's already losing her newborn cry.

Alright..I'm ready for number 4.

I'm not so sure Eilidh is 8lb lol, we got her on some scales with DH today and that said she was just over 7lb, will find out for sure next week though, did think that 6lb2 to 8lb in 2 weeks was wishful thinking lol. NB is still baggy on her as is up to 7lb, tiny baby is a bit small She doesnt have a huge belly yet but her belly button hernia is massive, sticks out over an inch!

24, glad you got new clothes for Sam, how often is he peeing through them now? Did the preemie nappies help?

New, hope little George starts to perk up a bit DH is considering the LA job, but it still wouldn't start until september. The lease says we have to pay $2800 to break the lease unless they haven't upheld their end so hubby is writing a huge letter lol. Its a shame as its a lovely big place and in a great area (stalker aside) but the booming is obnoxious. Worried we'll moven then have to move again in a few months

Lucky, its 103 degrees today so more than bikini weather

I bet when HV weighs george next week he'll have put on sooooo much weight after his slow start lol

I heard Joshua talking to George hmm was it this morning or last night, im not sure, but he told his brother to ask me for a baby sister. he said that i had already told him no, so maybe id listen to him (george) better. He went on to tell george it was really awesome being a big brother, so if he asked me for a baby sister he'd get to be a big brother too and know how cool it was.. he still not having a baby sister lol

It looks so sore, and he has from some spots which HV says are from hormones in my milk, so his poor face looks so sad.

His fat tummy is getting abit big for the micro nappies now, but the next size up just gape at the waist and legs, so we are soon going to be stuck.

Ouchy, just did some garden maintenance as I'm feeling ready for the unthinkable, and my graze is really sore now even though it was just a trim, nothing actually touched it?! So cancel, cancel!! xx

What does the baby ache look like? George has loads of red blister type spots, i keep being told they are milk spots, but they dont look like typical milk spots to me.

And nope.. no baby sisters here

Eeekk! George is awake already, he hates his moses basket Hmmm wonder if I should go watch TV in my bed so he can go in his bed.

Sam's is just red and inflamed spotty skin and bumpy.... I thought milk sports were white. xx
