Had my EEG and while in there Eilidh pooped all over daddys jeans, now she had over a weeks worth stored Lots of feeding going on here today and I'm knackered lol.

Hi ladies-
It's been a while since I've checked in, I think anyway... can't keep track of the days so well anymore.
Travis is going through a growth spurt I think, he was eating sooo much yesterday! I hope the spurt doesn't last too long, I don't know if my boobs can take it!

always busy here lol... not sure how long I plan to feed for now, I never thought in my heart of hearts Id even get going so each day is a far greater achievement than I could have hoped for. Id like to feed until he is ready for weaning at least, and see how we go What sort of length of time have you come up with?

Mummy, i rowed him over the shampoo and put the water pistol in the bin, but truth be told it was just a silly prank and he is only a kid lol George did settle, he just woke now for a feed well 15 minutes ago, I came up and fed him and now Im in bed lol he was asleep but he just let out a fart which scared him wide awake so he is chatting to me now lol I'll put him on the other boob in a minute and that might settle him back off bless lol Glad the EEg went well, and poor daddy copping a weeks worth! lol

Lol new yeah I could see my eldest trying a trick like that. They are so funny when they fart aren't they?! Its a huge manlike noise that scares em half to death and my goodness they stink Are you hoping to bf to self weaning at like a year + or solids weaning at 6m ish? I'll probably reach 2+ depending on if I fall pregnant.

24, with the cream weirdly I only found caneston to sting if I didnt have thrush!

How odd mummy.... Will see how it is tomorrow?! I had a google and apparently if you have had it a while, which I think I have the skin can break which can sting; ugh!!

I didn't come to a conclusion new, I'll see how long I can keep up the expressing, as it's so hard now OH is back to work as Sam seems to sense when I sit down to do it, oops!! xx

Not sure why it was like that for me 24, I had thrush every month just after ovulation for moths before I caught with Eilidh and I found the canestan hurt after the thrush seemed to be passing ut I guess it could've been because I'd had the thrush for so long that the white stuff had gone but it was cut

So glad to be rid of it either way!

meow hun have u told mw/hv he is only taking 2-2.5 oz a feed? id expect him to take more than that, i know if luca only took that at every feed he'd be unsettled alot, some feeds we only get 1.5-2oz but most are 3oz feeds already and hes only 4 days old, could it be he is really struggling with griping pains or just not getting all the wind up? i never got on with infacol with sienna, but she was miserable and wouldnt take much till the wind was dealt with.xx

Morning i was in bed until 8.30am!! yay! lol george slept super well! Joshua also slept super well and is in a good mood this morning, both my boys are yay! lol I think we'll go down to Llandudno today and try get Joshua his suit. I just spoke to my friend, and Joshua would be better in a navy suit for the wedding, so he'll be in navy for his communion too lol Joshua is having a tie made from our bridesmaid dress material, and we are having navy accessories so better he is in navy too.

Aww bless, he will look so smart!!!

I am loving my lazy day, Bethany is enjoying it too, she has been smiling loads. She has just gone down for a nap so Xbox time I think, then maybe a nice nap when she is napping after lunch

wild- I think he's taking so little because he falls asleep and then wakes up again and wants a bit more so he's snacking rather than taking a whole feed.

I didn't get woken up until 8:15 either! It was lovely. Josh slept from 10:30pm until 5am and DH got up with him. Then he slept until 8:15am. He's so good at night, it's just the days he's all over the place!

Just managed to get him down for a nap. He woke after 15 minutes so have now wrapped him tightly in a blanket and will see if that makes a difference. I don't get how he doesn't wake himself up at night but can't seem to sleep in the day?

How about the next size up teat so he gas to work less to get the milk and would get more quicker. xx

Aww meow glad he slept all night That sounds like a winding thing if he is stopping and dozing. Do you wake him and wind him? Once he has taken the 2oz, get him up on your shoulder or sat upright and wind for a few minutes, once the wind comes up he'll probably wake up and refeed to get back to sleep. I dont know how much they should be taking, but I would try make him wake up and take a bit more each feed.

24- I was just about to ask that! Great minds think a like

I'm going to give that a try i think. Everywhere i read 5 week olds should be having about 4-5oz on average with a minimum of 3.5oz. He's not even taking 3 so it's worth a go. I've got to take him to be weighed on tuesday so i'll be interested to see if he's actually putting any on.

new- Yeah i wind him when he starts dozing but it doesn't seem to help. He'll take a bit more after but barely any at all.

Maybe if i can get him eating more then he'll be less grumpy and the naps and everything else will fall into place.

Some bottles have multi flow teats so you can change it during the feed to suit the child, but no idea which bottles they are for lol Its definitely worth trying maybe he is working too hard to get his milk out Im sure once he feeds longer, he'll be more full and therefore more content and settled for you xxx
