Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Omg.. OBEM.. never seen it before,

It's great! I watched every episode last time whilst pregnant:dohh: then I went into labour 5 minutes after watching one of them! That lad storming out raging because his bairn went to special care was a knob head n not ready for a baby:nope:

Well i put the nappy on backwards then changed my mind & put it on normally think i'll go up a size ;)

Speaking of cakes i made my fist victoria sponge the other day & it was surprisingly really nice :)

So how flexible are your babies?
Livi seems overly flexible but i think i'm just looking for it maybe after the incident with her arm & the dr saying Jac is hypermobile i think i just presume she is? x

(I'm recording obem ;) u never watched it when u were preggy New) x

Hubby will be pleased with the football results Harvey????

:saywhat: Did they win ? must have been a fluke  :haha:

I don't know whether to watch it it'll only make me broody i'm not allowed to be broody x

So sorry, Wiggler. I hope your OH gets the swift kick in the ass he needs. Or maybe he feels depressed about something too, and that's why he's ignoring the kids? There might be an underlying reason rather than him just being a dick.

I understand the urge to cut. Have you tried the elastic around the wrist trick, or even something less harmful than alcohol? Maybe biting yourself? I know it sounds silly. That's what I do when I feel the urge to cut. I bite myself, I feel enough pain and get as close to cutting skin as possible without actually cutting skin, and the marks don't stay. Hope you can have a better night and day!

I will resist, but its been years since I felt the urge, I am scarred for life as it is (even a NHS dermatoloist told me this :() I'm just shocked the urge came back. I'm getting up with monkey in the monring, we finaly found my inhalor in one of the boxes so my chest is better so I should sleep a lot better than last night.

I read some stuff up on toddler tantrums today and they said if they are having more than one daily( he has 10+ daily), and they selfharm during them (Dylan smacks himself in the face and headbangs the floor/doors/wals) then to seek medical advice... Is he really that extreme?!

I think his tantrums sound quite extreme Wiggler have u ever spoke to anyone about them before? x

Maybe you should go to the doctors wiggler? For both of your sakes. xx

It sounds like Dylan can't say or express what's upsetting him, so maybe the docs can suggest seeing someone who can teach him how to let you know what's wrong. Can he tell you if you sit him on your knee or get down to his level and ask him is he scared / hungry / thirsty / bad head etc? My cousins boy used to hit the other kids in frustration and he now controls his temper before hitting but I'll have to ask how they achieved it though:dohh:

my stupid dongle is playing up so missed loads of stuff before my last reply...

Brandi - I have tried the elastic band and biting myself, neither worked.

everyone else - I havent seen a DR about Dylan, obvs he is my first toddler, I thought this was normal behaviour? I am gonna ring up tomorrow to get an appointment. I want my happy boy back  I was constantly coplimented on his behaviour before all the shit started in the old place, he was a delight to parent (apart from the early mornings, he has ALWAYS been an earlyr riser) I want that boy back

There'd be no harm in taking him to see the dr hun i know u hate the doctors but it would be worth a try if not the docs the HV?? x

I know he can't express whats wrong, his speech is about 6m-1yr behind due to his eating issues (speech and eating are directly related) but puting him on my knee and talking to him doesn't help, when he goes off its like he can't hear us, when he calms down he is fine, I tell him that his banging/screaming upsets the people downstairs andthat it alo upsets mummy and daddy, and I ask him what upset him so much, but he doesn't understand properly

Hopefully once you see docs for assessment and advice things will sort themselves out, then everything else will settle down. Its sounds like a vicious circle, Dylan tantrums, neighbours & you get upset which then affects Dylan again. I think Dylan is picking up on the vibes in your flat. :hugs:

Has he been tested for allergies, Wiggler? Isaiah was recently tested and we found that his extreme behaviours, early/night waking, excessive tantrums, etc were all due to a dairy allergy. Once we eliminated dairy, he was sleeping through the night again, and his tantrums are less severe and shorter. HUGE improvement.

Thanks for thinking of my poor OH ladies - I put him in such a good mood earlier that no footy scores will register in his head tonight ;) :cloud9:

Wiggler speak with your HV, although the nursery will really help him. Tantrums can seem extreme, but a lot of the times they are LOs expressing themselves in the only way they know how, and depending how you react will depend how he reacts. I really dnt want to offend but have you consider a parenting class? They are NOT for bad parents, they are classes to aid parents into handling difficult situations better. :hugs: hun xx

Well Aaron has just been put in his cot after being awake from 3pm! He nearly went to sleep at 8pm but me mam was moving about and he's so nosing and then started to play until 10pm, had bottle, slowed down a little, then nodded off about 11.15pm:wacko: I hope he stays  till at least 6am:shrug: but he is really snuffly so who knows?!

When me mam arrived at lunchtime Aaron was in his walker and started dancing with his arms in the air to be picked up, and when she picked him up he was jumping up and down in her arms getting really excited, me mam was in her element :cloud9: Harvey was doing the same but in dog style:wacko: they both love their grandma:thumbup:

I remembered my doc appointment :happydance: find out Friday if I need my meds changed or not, just got to remember to ring them Friday lunchtime for results and a new prescription:shrug::haha:
