There have been eight cases of measles in my county. One of them was reported on campus at the college I attend, but I am not too concerned about it because the campus is huge and it was not near the building my classes are in.
However, there has been a new case reported from an employee at a restaurant that I recently attended. Doctors are recommending anyone that visited from July 11-12 to see a physician. We ate there on the 14th. I feel like I could have been exposed?
I am vaccinated against Measles, since I had the MMR vaccine as a child. I should not be able to contract it. I just don't know if it covers my little one also. I am a little more than nervous, to say the least!

I think you usually get two shots against mmr don't you?

My doctor said I must have missed mine (I had one as a child but was meant to have another in high school and don't remember having one). So I'm not immune, so I'm at risk.

But if you're vaccinated you should be covered for your baby too :)

I've gotta have mine shortly after giving birth, I'm not allowed to have it while I'm pregnant as it's too risky xx

Yeah I'm pretty sure I've had it twice. I'm going to call my Dr this morning since I have a cousin who works in the ER and she said they're telling all of the pregnant employees to get checked out, vaccinated or not.

You usually get blood tests done in first tri that test your immunity to things like measles-I know this as my doctor wrote to me to tell me I wasn't immune to German measles and would need an mmr injection after her birth.
