Medela Symphony Battery Pack?

Does anyone here use a medela symphony pump and if so, what's the deal with the battery pack?

My pump has a hole in it for DC power but I am not sure how it works. One of the pumps supposedly works with batteries, one doesnt. Then I read that someone just purchased a 12v battery pack and used it but I would be worried about that damaging the unit. I am flying on Tuesday and would really prefer to use my symphony on the plane than my horrible manual pump that takes forever!

You won't get any more power out of a battery pack than you would a wall outlet, so it's unlikely you would be able to damage the unit. My Medela Pump in Style came with a 12V battery pack.

Sorry, just theoretical advice, but can you call Medela for advice, or look on their website?

Try calling the airline to see if they have an outlet on the plane you can use
