Does anyone know anything about taking melatonin and your fertility. I have been on the internet researching, and its so back and forth, some people say it causes infertility while others say that it helps with fertility.

I take 4.5mg of melatonin every night before bed to help with sleeping, and I just started taking Femara today, and don't want to mess anything up because of Melatonin.

Has anyone gotten pregnant while taking Melatonin for 3+ months?

Sounds weird. Your body produces Melatonin naturally to help you sleep so how can something native to your body be impairing infertility? However if you want to try to get off the Melatonin I talked to an herbalist the other day who told me you can use Tryptophan to get your body to produce its own Melatonin. I don't know if Tryptophan is supposed to impair or assist infertility; I just know its the chemical in turkey that makes you sleepy after Thanksgiving dinner. Good luck!

I do not have the experience of taking it consistently that long. I did read it was good for egg quality and bought some. My partner and I were taking it in the winter along with vit D. He was on it to help prevent the winter blahs and insomnia. Am curious to see if you you notice any changes after/during three months:flower:

I had to take melatonin for short time and was told by my doc that it DOES affect fertility. Something about it messing with your bodies internal clock, which is how your body times ovulation. But there are things online like this https://www.drtanyasmith.com/2011/02/21/melatonin-fertility/ that contradict that.
