Metformin dose question

I always listen to what others say, and if they say something different, I'll ask my doctor. It was a friend on here that mentioned I needed a u/s and blood work done, so I asked my dr. And she said that was a good idea and sent me out for it. I figure what's the harm in listening. I'm gonna ask my dr why I take my met every 12 hours, because I have no idea why I do!
